for the price, this printer cannot be beat. Printer does provide excellent printing and scanner works well. with Wide format printing, this printer provided almost equal printing to my color laser printer.
Only downside I have found is that it uses a lot of ink when printing wide formal paper. luckily, the print cartridges are not very expensive.
the other downside is the Epson Scan software is rather primitive.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Set Up Issues

Kind of frustrated. Just purchased this printer and am having issues with laptop communication etc.
This came highly recommended for the performance I required. User guide has not addressed half the issues I am struggling with. So far nothing works. Will call support and hopefully they can walk me thru the set up.

Good printer, nice screen

Although I really like the quality of prints and the extended paper/scan sizes on this machine, I found it unusually frustrating to set up. The picture directions included in the packaging are lacking at best. The printer has extremely vague and barely visible letters/pictures on the unit to show connection sites. Same problem with visibility on the glass screen with tiny black on black guides. I see that as a continuing issue. What were they thinking?
Set-up via the touch screen is great with the larger screen and good visibility. Computer set up was easy. Great for one user, but maybe frustrating in an office where folks just want to make a copy and will have to get a flashlight to see the paper guides.

I got a bad one!

Well, it had to happen to someone. I got the 7620 home, set it up w/o incident & no matter how I changed settings, could not get it to not dump ink on the paper. I printed a total of 9 letter size pictures & ran out of ink. I know the cartridges aren't as full in the new printers but 30 minutes later, the ink on the pictures still ran & smeared. What a mess. I returned it to the store & got a refund. Too bad, I was looking forward to having an Epson large format printer again.

BAD FOR COLOR PHOTOS

I wanted something for large color photos and also contracts but I haven't gotten a single quality color photo from this printer. My photos look washed out. Additionally it's very confusing when trying to change trays and paper choices. It's fine for black and white printing for contracts but I would never recommend it for color.

Worse Epson Purchased Ever

DO NO BUY THIS PRINTER!!! I purchased this printer a little over a year ago and have had nothing but problems with it. I am a teacher and I do not have money to buy a printer that worked for only 9 months. I bought this printer for the 11 x 17 printing capability. After this experience with Epson, I will NEVER buy or recommend their printers again!!!!
