Not too pleased

My new printer uses ink much faster than my previous Epson. The quality of print is not as good as previously. After having is about it month I used at least 30 color cartridges and now it has stopped printing red. I cleaned the heads and all that. I need to take it back to be repaired. I like that is has a larger scanning area.

I was an Epson FAN till now

I used to LOVE Epson printers. My old 810, and my Stylus 1400 (Which I still use and love were great.
So when the 810 reached the end...I decided to upgrade to the WF-7620.
This has been the worst printer I've ever had. It drinks ink like a sailor on leave, and the heads clog at the drop of a hat. Yes, I use Epson Ink...usually...but sometimes the budget won't allow it. Right now it's all new Epson cartridges)
The paper feed in the back is fairly useless. The two trays jam often if you're doing a big print job. The scan is ok. The wireless doesn't work well.
Epson is losing a fan. My next printer may come from someone else.
I will keep my 1400 as long as possible. I love it.

Worked great to start, then when the orginal trial ink cartridges ran out, i installed new epson printer cartridges as recommended and all worked but Black. Black never worked so I took printer back to store and they gave me a new one. Now it is working again but wasted much of my time.

Ink cartridges

I don't like the requirement to install only the ink cartridges that came with the printer. I installed the cartridges I bought at the store, and found out the printer would only accept the ones that came with it. Now I have an extra set of ink cartridges that have been opened. Although I put tape over the now unsealed holes, it would have been better if the printer accepted any of its own cartridges on install. Why would anyone design a product to do that?
So far, the printer is working well and the installation software worked flawlessly.

The Art Side

The Epson WorkForce WF 7620 is a most affordable all-in-one printer for those in want of a large format print, such as the awesome 13" x 19" prints you are able to produce in beautiful color at a good speed.
I researched printers for over a week in order to make the decision to buy this powerhouse printer. I am an artist and work in theoretically all mediums and found myself in the middle of suddenly becoming a digital painter quite by accident. This printer affords me the time and money to print my digital pieces in large, so as to mount on canvas, frame or do whatever I wish, with ease and confidence. The broad range of possibilities for an artistic person or creative individual in need of an inkjet printer for various specialty papers, art papers, iron-transfers, etc. is impressive. And to produce such large pieces and the ability to do original paintings or work and scan at an impressive 11x17 inch, is a delight!
I am starting a business at home with this wonderful large-format inkjet printer. It may not be a professional model for this type of work, but my skill in the mounting and after-effect is quite good and am certain to do with this affordable, terrific piece of technology by Epson.

Glad I Bought the EPSON WF-7620

We purchased this printer over other models because of the wide format. It scans very large documents effortlessly. Large format printing is very impressive as well. The printer is big, but worth making space for.

Manual would help

Printer was reasonably priced as are most inkjets (the money is made selling ink), lot of features but fairly complex compared to my prior HP all-in-one.
The setup for scanning hasn't worked so far, the printer can't recognize the computer it's connected to and there is no manual of any worth that came with the printer. I really don't like having to look up manuals online, taking notes and reading as you need it for points is much handier with old-fashioned paper manuals.
Had problems with the printer selecting the drive trays as well. I identified the tray I wanted but it kept trying to go to the bottom tray - not wanted, different paper.
Lots of features, some not very intuitive, no manual.

Pretty Awesome

My biggest draw back is with scanning. If you are scanning via the flatbed you cannot scan multiple pages to one PDF - I did not try through software on the computer, just scanning directly from the printer. On the flip side, when scanning through the ADF you cannot force it to divide each page into a separate PDF. Both of these features are necessary in my opinion.
The print quality may not be that of some of the higher end machines available, but it is very good.
The 2 paper tray system is great. A must, even if you are only going to be using it for the same exact media (size & type), so you can hold more paper. However, being able to put two different types in is great.
