Ink cartridges run out fast and printer is paralyzed until you buy new cartridge. Unfortunately, there are not many other options for home printers with oversize sheet capabilities so this unit will do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using this as my proofing printer to collaborate my designs with my company. I am happy with it with two exceptions:
1. It's just too slow when printing in high quality. You'd think by now there would be some improvement in speed for the inkjet technology.

2. Is it just impossible to have everything in one printer, lol? I want to be able to print a borderless brochure using high quality 11x17 paper and the duplex option. not with this printer. you have to choose between standard quality and white borders for duplex or no duplex for the higher quality which wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't for the speed.
Overall, I love the printers capabilities. I have yet to find another out there that can compare.

Printer was easy to set up on my wireless network with the setup wizard. Printing is very sharp and clear. Prints full size photos very quickly and very distinct colors. Having two cassettes to choose from for regular printing or photo printing is a very convenient feature. Large paper size capacity is an extremely valuable asset.

Exactly what I wanted

I haven't had this printer for very long but it does everything I want! I'm using it mainly for an in home craft business where I'll be printing on 12x12 pages. Of course we will also use it for normal printing as well. Quality is great the hardest part was figuring out how to change the settings but once I added the full Epson software it was super easy to figure out! BONUS it was on sale!

After shopping around, I settle on this Epson WorkForce printer because I needed scanning and large format printing and it was at a good price. Setup was a breeze on my home network. It always works. All prints look great. I'm very happy with it. Glad I bought it.
