Initialization Stops after date input- THE ANSWER
on August 4, 2015

I like this printer and the setup is fairly well explained on the DVD that comes with the printer. One issue: The initialization stopped repeatedly. It always happened right after I put in the date in the Set Up screen. I finally found the problem. There is a small piece of blue foam or plastic taped to the right side of the ink tray under the scanner. It is held on with a piece of blue tape and I only found it when I saw the blue tape. As soon as I removed the tape and the piece of plastic. They should mention that in the instructions. After that, it went quite smoothly. Nice machine!

Super fast but noisy

I was impressed with the ease I had in installing my new printer. I reviewed all specs before purchasing it and I am very happy with all of its features. It prints super fast and the colors and print are very clear. The only concern I had (and I wouldn't have know this ahead of time) was how noisy it sounds when printing. This surprised me. There is no noise while it's on, but hit "print" and I could be in a factory setting! I believe it's the movement of the ink cartridges cross the printing area.Good thing I don't have to listen to it for very long. Over all I'd recommend it to all.

Easy set up

One person's review of the 5000 series turned me to the WF 3620. He was confident it would meet my immediate needs. From some reviews I read, I was apprehensive starting the set up late at night. Its' not plug and play but it was not tasking. Most of the set up is automated and the enclosed instructions were very good. Today is day one, I've printed from my Mac and my iphone, its great.

Top Notch Printer

An excellent printer at an excellent price. Easy to install and the printer operated 100% the first time it was "fired up." The 3620 is loaded with features in addition to the standard print, copy, fox and scan.
Can not help but wonder how Epson can sell the 3620 at the price they do.

Epson Workforce WF-3629

This has been a good printer and scanner until today. I went into the printer preferences to change the settings from letter to legal and found that there was no option to select legal paper. I also found that once I had set my system to double sided, my option to print single side only was taken away.
Part of this could be that I am now on Windows 10, another program does not do what was expected.
NOT GOOD!

Not what I expected

I actually use this every weekend for copying work related information. I have tried to copy only 2 photos and had horrible results. Since this is not my primary goal, to print photos, I will live with this disappointment. I think the set up is one of the easiest network set ups I've experienced. And so far it performs all tasks as requested. No stalls or jambs. Economical purchase.

Ink Cartridges very small
on October 20, 2015

Out of the box it was an easy set-up. Ink cartridges are very small, almost half the ink of an older brother I am replacing. This, along with the "special ink" leads me to believe the ink is going to cost a fortune. The test kept saying it was jammed or out of paper. Turned the printer off and restarted a few times and it finally printed a very nice clean sheet. I copied a photo of my daughter it is not identical but that could be because I used plain paper which made the overall picture a shade darker. If a glossy or matte photo paper were used the colors maybe identical. I will suggest a person should compare inks of different brands, quality and quantity and what you are using your printer for. The ink also has an electronic chip on each cartridge, this may make it difficult to use a generic brand. I will give this a try.
