Set up instructions inadequate.

The set up instructions are seriously lacking in detail. The Epson Home Site was of no help. I had to go on the Internet to find a phone number for Epson support to find and get help in setting up my WF-3620. Help was very good and I finally got my printer active.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had a few months now and I still love it. I works well wirelessly, with laptop, 2 tablets and all of our smartphones. This makes it so convenient to print from all sources. I love the double side printing options. Saves on paper. It prints pictures very clearly too. It's simple and easy to use. The scanner works great too. I haven't used as fax so not sure about that function. Everything else is excellent!

Good and Bad points - could use some changes

I bought the printer and it did not come with the cables to hook directly to the computer. Nothing more depressing than when you don't know you have to pay even more money out.
I'm not happy with the small amt of inks either. The black ink didn't last a 100 pages, so I bought the biggest one. I use this printer for mostly text and the text is beautiful. This type of printer can print color, but not beautiful prints like my Epson photo printer would.
I think the set up of the computer could be a little more user friendly. Instead of the USB printing cable and LAN cable being hidden in the side, they should move it to the very front or front SIDE. It is a pain in the butt to access anything towards the back with low lighting.
I love the paper set ups. I do admit the trays were confusing to set up. I had a hard time figuring out to squeeze the inside pieces to move them for paper sizes. That area needs to be more user friendly. A person with no computer or printer experience wouldn't know what to do. It took me awhile to figure it out. The pictures aren't the best. I think I used YouTube and watched a set up. That part seems to get skipped so Epson should do their own set ups and how to use their printers for everything via YouTube. Great way to learn visually - I hate reading manual and looking at pictures.
It would be nice if they could make the printer a smaller foot print/lighter weight. It is a good printer otherwise. User friendly nice, brightly lit screen (I love that it lights up) but some of the functions will pop up an invalid screen instead of telling or asking us what we are trying to do and guide us. For example, I hit the scroll down button and This Operation is Invalid comes up. Instead it should say, you can't scroll further. See, now I know what I am doing wrong!
I'm not sure if it's printer software or program software, but sometimes I can't choose select page or select sections or select Collate. Sometimes I want to print a note on my page (in back or wherever) and I can't do that. It comes in handy for printing pictures and adding description, dates/places on back of the pictures.
Well built printer overall. Nothing cheapee looking. Very modern energy start compliant. Comes with handy SD MS Duo slot and front USB. 2 Fax hook ups are in back which is fine since you hook up once and don't need to go back there again.

I love the printer. The only drawback is doing envelopes from the rear feeder. Takes some practice. But overall, this is the best printer that I've purchased. It is quiet and fast and print quality is top notch.
