Always Epson

I have owned 2 to 3 Epson printers at all times for the last18 years. I have always had great success with them all, unless I created a problem. I would recommend Epson to anyone who is serious about what they print .

WorkForce WF-3620

First, it's an Epson product. THE BEST. The printer out of the box was easy to set up and the print quality is beautiful. Today I purchased the WF-3640 printer that gives me 11x17 prints. If there is a down side it is the price of the ink cartridges. I just dread buying new cartridges that can easily end up costing more than the printer over a years time. You want to sell more Epson printers? Lower your ink prices.

Epson Workforce WF-3620

After exchanging an HP for this Epson, I was extremely happy at how fast it connected to the internet. Prints fast and great two-sided. The HP took forever to get on the internet and didn't have a print preview. I make my own greeting cards and need the print preview to prevent wasting paper and ink when they don't print correctly.

Setup was successful

Connecting the 3620 to my home wireless system was a dream come true. Epson has finally made connecting to a wireless system EASY. The only trouble I had was in initial setup where one sets the data, time, etc. There was a screeching sound after I entered all the data, then the initial setup failed. I eventually fixed it by pushing down the lid on the ink cartrige box until it clicked shut.

A little disappointed...

Purchased the WF-3620 Printer yesterday because my Workforce 645's scanner stopped functioning in the middle of a major project... with hours left to meet a deadline.
Why I am required to perform a separate download for loading each function is a mystery and time-consuming.
Very satisfied with my previous Epson printer and naturally assumed I would have another great Epson experience. Just "transmitted" a fax with no notification if fax "transmitted" successfully... Just one day into this printer... I don't know.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple to setup, printing is great. I would recommend this printer for home use. Its exactly what I was looking for, wireless, fax, scan, etc.

Only problem we seem to have is the connectivity. We must turn the printer off & back on again to get the printer to print the requested sheets. Quality is great & it is nice that the cartridges last much longer.

Recommend with some reservations

I replaced my previous WorkForce printer with the WF-3620. There are a couple of things I don't like. The first is that I can't attach the phone card for faxes because it fouls up my answering machine in phone network. I have to plug it in when I fax. The second is I don't get a message on the screen when a fax has been sent. I do like the double-side printing but find I haven't used it yet. Overall a very good printer.
