My 3450 expired and I needed a new printer. Epson has always been great for me so I decided to stick with Epson.

I love the fact that the printer is wireless and works off of WiFi and that I can print from my phone. It works really great.

My setup problems
on October 14, 2016

Setup was a pain. The instructions kept telling me to go back and forth from the printer screen and computer screen. I couldn't find what they were referencing to. I finally just followed the instructions on the computer and got the printer installed. There are no enter buttons, ok buttons, next buttons. At least there are none unless your used to using icon language. I'm satisfied with the printer but am very unsatisfied with the instructions. Epson has a great product, but could really improve by making the instructions for setup and use more user friendly.

Great Home Printer!

This printer worked great right out of the box and continues to do so. I don't remember any problems with setting up. It is wirelessly connected to my MacAir, two rooms away and either connects right away, or after a few tries.
I love how fast it is - faster than my printer at work - and the print quality is good. I have scanned to PDF, copied, and printed papers, and it all works well. I have printed some photos on copy paper and the color is fair. I have not yet tried photo paper.
I read lots of reviews and heard of some problems, and I have not had any of those.
Cartridges changed easily, though the high capacity ones seemed to run out fairly fast. Still, I'm so grateful to have a reliable, versatile, and high-functioning printer at home.

epson workforce WE-3640

I purchased the workforce 3640 printer several months ago. I have had numerous problems. It has a mind of its on when printing, especially landscape. When I want to print only in black it will often change itself back to color, which is a waste of ink. it is almost impossible to get it to print from the back paper slot. it just wants to keep ejecting the paper.

Good Printer

Other than the fact that the paper can't be loaded in the back, but must instead be put into a tray in front which requires the use of both hands, It,s a good printer.

bad setup

I can't even say how the product works because the I could never get past the installation process. If the ink cartridge isn't in perfectly it wont work then you have to keep restarting the printer. On top of the that the design is poor because once you put the cartridges in you can't reposition it because it is stuck in a home position secured by a flap

Low ink capacity

The printer started whining for ink cartridges not long after I'd set it up which I had to override every time I used it because they still contained ink. It wouldn't even print black and white documents even though that cartridge was full. Typical of ink jet printers, give away the razor to sell the blades so to speak, even when the cartridges still have ink left in them.
