Disappointed

First Epson I've owned in 20 years. Hooked it up and began printing it was great. Next time I go to use it I have to reinstall. Very annoying, it disconnects from internet and I have to install the passcode at least once a week sometimes twice. So between reinstalling the printer and the password the printer is seldom ready when I want to pring.

I am now going on my 4th. Doesn't last long. Errors not just fixed with simple troubleshooting requires replacement when errors appear. If I use it lightly only a few times a month they seem to last longer, but when I have a busy month and increase to using it every other day for various functions that is when they can't handle it and die. Protection plans are why I keep getting a new one of the same model or equivalent.

worst printer ever

have had problems with the printer since the get go. Constantly having ink cartridge problems even though using genuine Epson ink cartridges. Constantly rebooting and cleaning printer heads but sometimes even that doesn't work. The paper jams in the feeder on top so have not used it.

Second unit, neither would print

This is the second wf3620 I've gotten it two days; both had the same problem. The first time I ran the print test, the page came out with just the faintest of image, barely discernible. Subsequent test prints produced a completely blank page. When the first wf3620 I bought had this problem, I figured "faulty printer" and replaced it. Now the replacement has the exact same problem, so I suspect its something to do with how I set it up. I'm using it with an older IMac.

Initial Setup

Hi. I have been using the WF 3620 printer for 20 minutes so far. Setting it up with a USB connection was seamless, although I plan to switch this to wireless. I purchased this printer after careful research, replacing my other one which I somehow killed when using the ADF. Paper Jam errors, carriage return errors, 12 minute step by step video from the vendor ending in "Service the Printer." Sure, that was going to happen. It ended up in a shopping cart at a major Office store retailer for burial, recycling or whatever.
I have never owned an Epson before. I started my PC career with one major brand in 1996, and when their performance on a new printer turned atrocious I swore to never buy another. I have not. I became a dedicated customer to another name brand around 18 years. Now that brand's printers seem like an afterthought in their product line whereas the Epson product line was a real wake up call with the shear number of printing solutions they offered from home to industrial.
Anyway, I am hoping that when I go wireless, it will be as simple as the USB setup was.
One complaint I hope I can fix. The fax report page uses cyan. I'd prefer to see black for color ink preservation.

Epson WF 3620

This is a good machine but install was very difficult. The machine's wireless setup from the factory goes directly to the cloud. The instructions do not tell you this. Every device on my router would be kicked off when the printer was turned on. I don't need the cloud. I wish they had given us the choice during set up but they did not.
Would not recommend to someone just wanting to print wirelessly in their home.

Printer Installation

The time to upload the drivers and updates from the internet was ridiculously long --literally hours, and I have a very fast system and internet speed with excellent signal strength. After 3+ attempts at connecting via the "Wizard" we finally got a document to print. The speed of printing is fine and the image is good. Just be aware that the installation will require time and patience.

ease of operation

I think that a pamphlet for operation of this printer should have been enclosed with the machine. I am an 87 year old person and not computer smart. Booklet would have been very helpful to help me stumble through start up. Tom
