Failed after 4 months

From the start this printer had issues. Would have to power off and on again just to get it to work correctly. After 4 months it failed completely. The printer was still under a year warranty and Epson would only replace the printer with a refurbished unit. Also the year warranty does not start over for the refurbished unit. I now have 8 months of warranty left on a refurbished unit. Not much confidence a refurbished unit will last if a brand new one only lasted 4 months. I would not recommend Epson to any one.

Close to being a 5 star

Pros: - Impressed with print quality - Impressed with print speed - Duplex - ADF
Cons: - Epson could likely fix it via SW and/or firmware so I am hopeful. I use All in one as much for scanning as printing and there is no easy one click scan. They should allow default option of their color or gray scale buttons to start scanning but they don't. Getting scanning properly configured is complex as well. Fix this and I would give it 5 stars.

My First Epson

I have always been a other guy user for a long time. My friend has been on me about trying an Epson. Therefore, I did, to get him to stop bugging me. The setup, software installation and networking of my new WF 3620, was a breeze.

All in one printer

I am technologically challenged. The initial setup was pretty easy. But, then certain details prevented me from using the scanner the way I wanted. After two hours on the phone with support tech, the scanner is pretty simple to use. I use a Mac. Customer Service was able to help with that. The printer is small. The pace at which it copies and scans is a little slower than what I am used to. I would prefer a faster print. The quality of the printing is good. I would recommend this product despite the issues I had setting it up

Two sided printing and copying

This unit replace a Workforce 615 which was great with manual two-sided printing. This unit has the ability to print two sided automatically without any manual input other than designating it when printing. Two sided copying leaves something to be desired as to where and how to manually put the paper that you have copied to the first side. Better instructions would help along with a more friendly users guide with the unit. I know it is a cost savings to refer you to an online users guide but really not every user has that access or ability.

First Impressions WF-3620

My old printer died, OfficeMax had this unit in stock and after comparing it to others in stock I bought this one with these extra points in mind:
1) I print checks from Quicken and didn't want to have to pull the main tray to load checks. I thought the rear loader would work well for this. So far I have not been successful printing from Quicken using the rear paper feeder. Plus it only takes one sheet at a time (what's up with that?)
2) I like the auto feeder for the scanner and the availability of large capacity black ink
What I've found - 1) Sometimes I don't have a full sheet of checks, only 1 or 2. I tried several times to only print with a single check and failed..
2) Setup was reasonable for the pc, a bit more convoluted for the MAC as it was not clear where the software was located once installed

Great Printer

This printer is awesome for home use. The kids can just print straight from their laptops on our wireless network without having to copy anything on a thumbdrive and bring to the main PC. Really love the it goes to sleep, you can leave it on all of the time and the screen on the printer goes to sleep, all that is on is the small blue LED power light. When ready to print, wakes up and does it's job. Two sided printing is a plus. For the average home user, it's like having an office printer at the house.
