Not bad but the quality could be better

I was looking at purchasing the defender because I had that case on my old Iphone 5 but I didn't want to add additional bulk to my Galaxy s5 since its already a big phone so I decided to get the Commuter instead. It has a nice design to it that makes it easy to hold and does an excellent job at protecting my phone. I knocked it off of a coffee table by accident and it hit the hard wood floor pretty hard but the phone survived without a scratch. The only thing I don't like about it is that the rubber stains real easily. I got it in pink and white and the pink already has a few stains on it that will not come off. I'm not sure how the stains got on there because I 'm real careful with my phone. I have only had the case two months. I had my defender for almost two years and it didn't have any stains on it. If it gets any worse I may end up buying another case. I don't think I will buy another otterbox in the future unless the quality changes.

Thinner than the Defender Series

I like that its thinner than the Defender Series yet it still protects. I'm so glad I finally took the chance and tried the Commuter Series case. The Defender Series was always too difficult to get into my jeans pocket. I enjoy the Commuter Series and I now own three different color versions to switch to just for variety.
Pros: High quality, Durable, thin yet protects

When I originally got my Samsung Galaxy S5, I decided to follow my son's suggestion and bought the commuter case for it. Never had an issue with size and drop it on a regular basis without any damage. What sealed the worth of the case was when I stuck it in my bathing suit top because my cover up didn't have pockets and took about 20 minutes of a water aerobics class with it fully immersed in the water. When I realized what I had done, I thought my phone was a loss. I took the cover off, opened the back of my phone to remove the battery and didn't find a drop of water inside. The phone has worked like a charm ever since. When I finally upgrade, I will replace my cover with another Otterbox.

A Must Have!

I bought the wallet case, since I'm not much of a purse person. It fits the amount of cards I carry on me at all times. I, on occasion, drive a lifted vehicle, and my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) has taken quite a few tumbles out of it, and every time I pick my phone up, it works fine and acts like nothing happened. I love this case and will definitely add another one to my collection, just for variety :)

Great Product, Not For Me

This was the only case out, at the time of the release of the phone, that was a viable wallet case I would consider. I paid for the 2 day shipping and it came very promptly.
Once I got the case, the hard case not the silicone portion, it didn't open properly. I immediately called Otterbox to get a replacement and they were more than happy to send a replacement with the 2 day shipping I had used before. I got the initial product on a Tuesday, even with 2 day shipping it came the next Tuesday.
Maybe a month and a half later, I was opening the back and it broke. Granted I had surpassed the limit it could hold, but that was not the first time I had done so. I thought I could slip it right back on, but a piece of the 'track' broke off. On my previous phone, I had a wallet case, not used from this company, for the length I had the phone, which was a year and a half. Because I was expecting, for the money I spent, for it to last just as long, I was disappointed.
I do not carry a bag so the wallet case is vital to my lifestyle. I haven't called back to discuss my warranty since I had a problem with the initial apparatus I'd received.
Even with my misfortune with the product, I would still recommend this to a person who won't go beyond its limit and does not rely on wallet cases as their actual wallet, unless they are very compact. It's still a great product to use and very hefty when it comes to drops.
Pros: High quality, Durable, convenient
Cons: does not open easily, white case: attracts dirt quickly

Having issues with power button over on otterbox

The power button cover turns my phone off constantly, once I took the cover off my phone stopped shutting off.
Another complaint I have is the pink rubber portion of the case gets disgustingly dirt and I have tried repeatedly to clean it without success.

It's sufficient

This case is good for the amount you pay, but I have noticed that the plastic part above the charge port breaks very easily, and I cannot seem to figure out why. I have had to have it replaced before, and only had it for about 2 months before it broke in the same spot. I wouldn't recommend it as this product is supposed to be durable, and if it only lasts a few months before breaking, then clearly this is not something that anyone should be purchasing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

That is a thin strip of plastic above the charge port door, so there is likely some interaction between the design of the case and how you use your device that isn’t seeming to mesh quite right.
