Not Impressed

So far, I've had problems setting up the wireless connection and the scanning software. Both had to be downloaded from the net to work. Now, I'm having problems printing anything black, and we've only had it for a few months.

Review of Epson WF-3640 Printer
on April 29, 2016

I would not buy the Epson WF-3640 again, but would highly recommend the Epson WF-4530 (has been virtually flawless with none of the issues below that the WF-3640 has). Issues with the WF-3640: (1) digital touchscreen menu is often difficult to navigate through and understand; (2) have had a number of software issues, requiring interface with the online EPSON Support Center to resolve; (3) it 'eats' ink at a rate much faster than I would like to see; (4) feeding 4"x6" photo paper through the rear slot is awkward, as the photo paper all but disappears into the machine, often with no assurance that it is aligned properly, often resulting in a misaligned output; (5) the scanner function onscreen protocol is difficult to navigate through in certain areas (e.g., simple renaming of a file to save that file under a new name). Although the printer itself does a good job printing/photocopying/scanning for everyday use, the number of hours I have spent trying to resolve (successfully) software/hardware issues with the WF-3640 makes me wish I had spent the extra money and purchased another WF-4530, the latter being an excellent product.

Good home printer

I purchased the Epson WF3640 to replace my old Epsom that lasted about 10 years. Although the the colors are not quite as sharp, this is a well-performing versatile printer that is a good inexpensive all-in-one printer. I highly recommend it for home use.
