Watch that mother go

What a fantastic deal for the money. This printer is capable of doing anything a small business needs yet inexpensive enough to be your home printer as well. Wireless connect is immediate and prints start the second you hit go. If your on the fence on this one over the other one then hop on board the Epson MF3640. It is the real deal! Print quality is excellent and ink cartridges are a lot cheaper than you know who.

I bought an Epson printer and it was smarter than me. It recognized my wifi and every key stroke from my mac and in turn my mac recognized it. I don't know how it functions, friendly or hostile, but as far as looking sexy and easy setup, 5 stars!

My Epson was given to me by my family for my birthday 5-1-2015 and served me well until
10-8-2015 when it failed. I contacted Epson and they sent me a replacement straight away and it has been working ever since with no problems. At that time I suggested that an organization I belong to purchase one as well and they are very pleased with that I did.

So easy

I am writing this review strictly from the installation point of view. Having been in the IT industry since 1963, I have sold and installed many printers. This WF-3640 was purchased as a replacement for a fairly new printer that was not wireless, of another brand, that stopped working and the cost of repair was almost as much as the cost of the printer. So, after examining wireless printers in this price range I decided on Epson. I was always bothered by the difficulty in setting up wireless printers. Thank you Epson! This installation was extremely easy and fast. I was amazed with the simplicity of the installation. All I did was follow the instruction sheet for the initial configuration and the on screen instructions from the CD. It could not have been easier. Epson did an A+ job on the other methods of connection via USB or RJ45 network cable and the software. I have been retired now for over a year, but I do consult and will surely recommend this and other Epson printers.

Nice Printer! Out of the box and set up in about 15 min. Easy to work with and setup. Lot's of pieces of tape to take off everywhere all over the printer (so make sure you look for all of them). And the first run on the setup takes 6 min (seems kind of long). But overall the printer is relatively easy to setup and use.

Setup was trying at best

The direction sheet is poorly made. Unclear pictures that have to be deciphered. Improve the diagrams and add more clarifying text.
The CD would not load on my iMac. The website listed in the instructions does not exist [epson.com/support/wf3640mac]
I haven't used the printer yet, so I can't comment on that.

Very nice. Prints both sides automatically. Still on the ink cartridges that come with it. I've even printed postcards, that went through the regular paper feeder.
