set up was easy, connection to other devices was simple, good printer for the money, only complaint for me is that it is a little to noisy when first printing.

I love this printer. You can print from anywhere and it is easy to do. I have pictures at my finger tips all the time. My granddaughter is able to print as well.

I absolutely love my new EPSON WF-3640 printer. Having 2 paper trays greatly facilitates my production. The print quality is superb, the color resolution amazing and the speed is remarkable. I recommend it without reservation.

Not a 1-touch and done

The 3640 works great once you figure out all the bells and whistles and realize it's not a one-touch, punch-it and be done-with-it printer-scanner. [No I don't want the blank backside of the page printed, no I don't want fries with my print, etc.]

My wife insisted on this because she wanted to go wireless in our office and she had an older Epson printer and loved it. We quickly discovered that her computer didn't have WiFi so she got upgraded there too.
Setup was pretty easy overall. Having dual paper trays is great since, with granddaughters always wanting paper to draw on, our older printers tray was usually empty when we needed to print. I love the double sided printing because I no longer have to take the paper out and turn it the correct way and put it back in. This machine does that automatically. Color is good and speed is excellent. I haven't tried it on any drawing files yet but expect it to be precise enough for home use.
The ONLY problem I encountered is with the Epson Connect app. It will print from my phone..... BUT I have to be standing right at the printer to verify that the size paper selected on the phone is correct. The app seems to not be able to make the printer understand that 8.5X11 on the phone is the same as 8.5X11 on the printer. <shrug>
That issue aside.... excellent machine..... great print quality and speed..... painless double sided printing and the ability to load different paper sizes.... or paper and envelopes... and do all your printing without interruption.

Don't expect more than a couple of years out of it

Had the last 3640 for just under two years. The scan functions, paper feed and hardware always worked perfectly, until the printer started creating pages with fuzzy print and missing spots on the page, especially black.
Tried everything including new ink cartridges, no help. So I tossed it out and got another. They're cheap and work very well until they die. Wish the lifespan was longer.

Do not buy!!!!

The WF-3640 worked for approximately 1-1.5 years. It eats ink, but we were otherwise happy with the purchase. The ink does not last anywhere near as long as they say it should.
Now it does nothing but jam and literally eat paper. I can no longer print 2-sided which I never had any issues before. When the paper feeds back into the printer to print on the other side it either jams then or it starts to print only to bend the corners and cut little strips into the paper.
This printer has been one headache after another. Too much $$$$$$ for ink which this printer uses a lot or it just does not feed paper properly. What a giant waste of money.
Epson, you have been crossed off my future purchase list.
