Great machine for money

I have used three of these machines where I work and have not had a minute's trouble with them. They are easy to set up and for the size of the machine, quick printing. I have also used them to print photos and the machine does well with printing photos.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have purchased three of these units because I like the reliability and functionality of the model. I have one in my home office, one at my business, and one for the board of directors that I sit on. I like that I can print envelopes without changing the paper tray and the scanner works very well for copying and scanning.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What a great printer.

I have already reviewed this printer once but, I have to write another review. This is the best printer I have ever purchased. I have never had a printer that printed so clear and bright right out of the box. It is so easy to set up. I have used the daylights out of this thing already and it has been absolutely flawless. Epson in my opinion makes the best printers period.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New Epson WF3640 Priner

Sounds like an Ice Maker

I love the quality of print, but the ink cartridges doesn't last very long at all. From day one this Precision Core motor sounds like and ice maker crushing ice. The roar when beginning to print is extremely loud and aggravating to say the least. I tried testing another in the store that I purchased this one and was told that the store doesn't connect their displays (wonder why).
Again as far as print/copy/scan quality is good. I have yet to figure out the faxing from this printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great, A No Problem Printer, but Caution...

I have used several Epson printers over the past many years and have found them all reliable and of very good quality. I was ready to go Wireless and my Epson Artisan 810 was an older model and it only had one paper tray. I read many positive reviews of the Workforce 3640. Unfortunately, I rushed into buying the Workforce without really investigating if it had all of the things I needed on my printer. I just thought that since it was newer, it would be better than my Artisan 810. The previous printer was wonderful for working with my genealogy files. I could lighten or darken print quality before scanning to my computer. As far as I can tell, the 3640 does not have this ability. You have to scan to the computer, then use the photo editing on the computer, rather than on the printer. However, the 3640 does allow me to print in different colors of paper or switch back and forth between heavy paper or photo paper, without having to change trays which makes everything so much easier when pritnting documents or color coded family sheets. I have had the printer for several months and have been very happy with its performance overall. I just wish I would have noticed that I could not use the Printer Control Screen to change the sharpness of the images. Also, it would be helpful to be able to do a "Search" of the manual, rather than scrolling through page by page looking for the information. Again, not the fault of the printer.

Runs out of ink faster than any other printer I've ever used

Do no recommend this printer. The cost to print is too expensive considering you have to change the ink so frequently.
