GOOD BUT A TAD QUIRKY

I love that I can print from any device located anywhere in the world whether the printer is being attended or not. I am pleased with the printer so far and I have had other Epson printers that have served me very well.
The two paper drawers are great but I need to be able to link them so that if I use the same paper in both drawers when one runs out the printer automatically shifts to the other drawer.
The reset button does not appear to have any function. In order to reset the printer it needs to be powered down and restarted.
Once a paper mis-feed is detected and you follow the corrective instructions getting back to a normal state is very quirky and the reset button does not help.
I would love to be able to leave an envelope in the rear feeder and have it automatically selected when needed. However I must place the envelope in the rear feeder after the envelope is sent to the printer. This printer is a network printer and not at my desk so it requires more frequent trips to set things like the envelope.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just purchased this today and I have to admit the printing is leaps ahead of the 3540. Setup is a breeze, but make sure you turn off direct wifi first if you prefer to add this to your online wifi account yourself, otherwise it will not work correctly.
I could not find any other issue other than this one "bug" that I reported to tech support. Make sure you check for a firmware update as there was one available once I installed. The fax works great, scanning wirelessly is a breeze, and the remote printing driver was installed. If you liked your Epson WF 3540, you will love the 3640. Precisioncore printing is amazing!

Best printer on EARTH!!!!!!!

I hardly know where to begin!! This printer is bullet-fast, holds nearly an entire REAM of paper, or you can stack envelopes in 1 tray and an INCH of paper in the other!! All functions are virtually instantaneous, but what REALLY tickles me is, first, the triple-wide Black Cartridge holder, wherein you can either load a regular one, or one that will be printing til Doomsday... And 2nd, the amount of desk that is covered by this printer is actually LESS than my old printer!! I wouldn't part with this printer if I was GIVEN 3 others!!! THANK YOU Epson!!!!!!!

very difficult to use, paper selection not easy. Paper tray selection not good. choice's on the computer screen were not there. for a older person, this model is nowhere as easy to use as the old epson wf-520.
it had all printer choices / settings on the laptop screenS, lap #1 & #2, they worked great.

The wifi would not setup up, had to use usb for switching cable from laptop #1 & laptop #2. Setup never worked right. using win 8.1 OS on lap #1 and lap #2 is A Mac pro lap . running xp pro.

Dissapointed

When I bought this printer I wish I had done a little more research. As far as its printing capabilities its average. The thing that ruins it is that when one cartridge runs out of ink, it will not let you print at all until you replace it. If I am printing in black and white why is the color cartridge being low stopping me from printing. This will be my last Epson printer.

I'm Frustrated!

I am so disappointed! I just purchased my new printer. I bought it on the recommendation of Kim Komando. When I installed the driver, it failed. So I went online and downloaded the driver. But the wireless never would work and as long as the printer is turned on, my computer will not connect online.
This morning i tried to register for EpsonConnect. I downloaded the driver, but do not have an eprint address, and this time, as long as the printer is turned on, I'm connected, but the computer if froze up. I just don't know what else to do. I can't even turn the printer on and print from the web with the USB cord connected because the computer either freezes up or I get kicked off the web. HELP!!!!!

problem printing attachments

I have made all of the necessary connections and installations to print remotely. However, I cannot print any attachments and I can't figure out why. I called the help number, but the volume was so low that I could not understand what was being said and there seemed to way of talking with a live person. I was so excited about this printer and was looking forward to problem free printing.

Love my new printer!

I previously had an Epson PhotoSmart and loved that too! This WP-3640 prints much faster, the ink does not smudge and I love that I can scan multiple documents together which saves a lot of time. It was a great price and all my friends bought the same model. Love it!
