Worst Printer EVER!

This is the worst printer I have ever owned! ARGH! I have owned it for less than three months and had nothing but problems. I spend more time trying to troubleshoot the printing than actually using it! The main problem: it picks and chooses which ink cartridges it doesn't want to use. Like it just won't print black. Then it just won't print red. You get the picture. It'll recognize the ink level and then still not print those related colors. These are BRAND new cartridges; full ones. So then my husband and I will "clean the print head" a thousand times and sometimes it might help and other times it won't but in the process it uses up the ink! Are you serious?!
And with that said, the ink is too expensive and has to be replaced constantly. This is the most ridiculous waste of money I have ever experienced...and now, I have to buy ANOTHER new printer because this one is NOT worth the time and money spent on it. I would rather have a root canal than to ever buy another Epson or recommend this one to others.

WF 3640 is a piece of junk

Do not buy the wf3640. I have owned it for 6 months, used it gently, and print nozzles are blocked every time I want to print. This has happened in the last month. I have to run a nozzle check and have to clean the print heads every time I print. I've wasted more ink running nozzle checks than actually printing documents. I am stuck with this device because it is beyond the return period. It is as if the device has a lifeline to barely get past the return date and then breaks. I will call the warranty department and see what they can do for me. Let's hope they can make it right. I will write an updated review after speaking with the warranty department.

HATE IT

Constantly says it does 'not recognize' the EPSON yellow printer cartridge and will NOT allow printing even if you choose black or grayscale. Changing the cartridge makes not a difference.

After several starts and restarts I could never get a good photographic quality image. ie. Lines and uneven tones. I took it back.

My complaint is the fact that there is no users manual and I am completely frustrated by the lack. I have tried for days to find one on the web. Had I realized there was no manual I would have purchased any other brand that included a manual. I am sure I will love this printer once I know how to use it effectively. I am 91 years old and cannot begin to realize the capabilities of the printer without a reference.

unhappy with ink use

I have been an Epson user for many years. This is my 4th Epson printer. Have always been satisfied. I have had this printer for 2 months have not used it very much yet. Just printed 30 4x6 photos and have to replace the ink, plus it is taking 5 minutes to print each photo. Not happy. I hope to talk to a technician and maybe find out if there is something wrong with this printer. I sure hope it might be a simple fix. Epson has always had good support.
