Unable to print

I have had the EPSON WorkForce WF-3640 for several months now and have not bee able to get help with or fix the Error Code: Ox9D.
This printer is no good to me if I can not print.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far I am really pleased how this printer was for setting up, the printing quality is really nice, the ease of setup was really great, the speed of printing is really good and lastly the number of product features are really great.

Quick and easy

I am not a tech person, so when I say quick and easy to set up and get going, I really mean quick and easy!!! If I can do it, then you can bet your bottom dollar that anyone can do it. Great print quality makes me a happy camper!!!

Excellent product

This is my first Epson printer. I just finished setting it up and it was simple. Instructions were clear and my wireless connection was successful on the first try. Print quality is great! Speed is just right for my print jobs. I am also happy with the extra paper tray, double sided feature and how compact it is. It is just perfect all around. It is also reasonably priced and so are the ink cartridges.
I spent a lot of time researching multi-function color printers and I chose this one over several others. Highly recommended. You've got to get one!!

perfect sole proprietor printer

This is the first Epson I've ever owned. I followed the suggestion to wait until I had a chance to get used to it before writing a review. So now I have had it 4 months.
My business is so internet oriented that I seldom use the fax, but it's useful to have on occasion. Scanning to pdf on my mac & printing & copying files for invoice documentation are the most important for me. And this printer does them perfectly. 2-sided printing saves paper. Especially important for the self-employed.
The wifi setup was so easy. I have had no problems whatsoever with it. It sits about 4 feet away from my laptop: No long cords and it doesn't crowd my desk.
I am very satisfied with the ink cartridge lifespan. It is more economical than my last printer. I use the extra large size of black ink. The instructions for changing cartridges are easy to understand.
Just make sure you keep paper in both trays. It defaults to Tray 1 but won't tell you if T2 is empty. It will just say to add paper to T1.

Meets All Expectations

I purchased this printer in August, 2014 and placed it in service immediately. It took longer to unpack it than to set it up. I was looking for a machine that could print on heavy photo stock and labels. The rear feed works well for this. Quality of color photo prints is good on photo paper, even at the normal setting. I especially like the duplexing and auto document feeder and paper trays for both letter and legal size paper. I use this machine wirelessly on a Wi-Fi network. That works well for all but faxing (need hard wire to phone jack) and scanning to a PC (must use "sneaker-net" for that). Except for the cost of ink I am very happy with this after 3 months.

Workforce WF 3640

I am an elementary school teacher. I waited until I got a great Sale during the holidays. I needed a workhorse that could produce quality products and do lots of things. Well, I am happy to share I found it ! My techy son was able to set up my WF-3640 up in a relatively short time about an hour. Wow...the quality and level of production is awesome. I researched my purchase on the Consumer Report web site. I read customer reviews and I am most satisfied that everything mentioned was true to the letter. When I need a lesson plan, professional development presentation report or a class presentation, I now have my Epson and it has not let me down...Thank you Epson for making a product I can depend on. You have helped me to make a difference in the lives of children.

Read and follow the instructions

I was worried about the printer setup after reading the reviews online, I did see one that suggested that the direction be followed. Of course nothing comes with printed directions any more so I followed those that were there and didn't have a single issue. Updating the driver installation was important but if you read the directions it tells you to do that also. Epson and all other companies also need to realize that not all of their target market is under 30 and make sure the information given speaks to all ranges.
