Excellent printer.

I own three Epson printers, an 840, a 7520, and a 3640. They are all excellent. Particularly, this 3640 is wonderful at my office because I have it wirelessly connected to the three computers I use. I send something to print and by the time I get there, the work is printed. It is fast and reliable.

Ink & printing OK, but some drawbacks

The print-heads were not separately replaceable. I had to buy a whole new printer when some jets failed. The ink is very good, does not smear or run or fade. Software average, had to purchase separate file conversion software to do OCR. Printer will not duplex the Legal size paper. And, can not leave any paper in rear paper feed, only takes one sheet at a time through rear feed. Envelope feed problematic still.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Apple Friendly

Super printer. I did a lot of research before buying this machine, because I use Apple technology exclusively. I wanted a printer that would work with my computer as well as my phone and tablet. The WF-3640 was that and a lot more. I brought the machine home and unpacked (15 minutes) and then plugged it into the wall and my computer, and in 15 minutes was printing. Setting up the fax and network took another ten minutes. The printer has been flawless since then. I love this machine.

I have had Epson printers for 10 years and love each one. the 3640 is so easy to use and the setup was quick. I like have 2 drawers for paper so I don't have to worry about running out of paper. Great printer

Great up to a point

Everything was great UNTIL there was a software update. I haven't been able to send or receive a fax since then. NOT a happy camper, here.

Uses ink like crazy. Ink system needs to be updated. Other than that, no issues so far.
