This is a much better printer than my old WF-3540 which I had two of and they both gave us a lot of problems. So far this WF-3640 seems to work great with out many problems except sometimes when I print it makes a noise and sends a message of a paper jam or out of paper. Have to turn off and back on again to make it work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my Work Force WF-3640 I have had it since Dec. 2014 I started having streaks through the printing and photos. After doing all I can I called EPSON and they sent me a new Work Force WF-3640, I had to call customer service a couple of times for assistance in setting it up but now it works great. I have tried other brand of printer/copiers and I think EPSON is the best quality.

Reliable Quality Printer!

I already had a Workforce 630 and loved it. The reason I got this printer which I also love is because I had a Dell printer and Dell refused to create a driver for it after I downloaded Windows 10. I junked the Dell and purchased this 3640 and have had no problems with either printer and Windows 10! They are both reliable printers that scan and print excellent quality work!! :)

Printer works well but it is an ink hog. I seem to be using color cartridges like they are free. I do not print a lot of photos or graphics either. Also printer will quit functioning with no apparent reason. It lets me print to it, but the documents never get there. Turning it off & on doesn't help & I usually wind up re-booting my computer and then printing again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Design Q/A Problem

When it works, it works just fine. But, I am on my third or fourth WF3640, all for the same fault. After about 10 months of use I got error 0X9D. After troubleshooting with Epson support it was determined that the printer would be replaced, as it was still under warranty. The replacement printer (a rebuild) lasted for a week before I again got error 0X9D. It was replaced with another rebuild and a week later I got error 0C9D yet again, and yet again Epson sent a replacement. All that said, I must say the customer support from Epson was first class. My un-expert theory is that there is a sensor fault in the circuitry. Whatever it is, Epson needs to solve this problem.

I love Epson printers primarily because they come equipped with OCR. This is definitely a plus for me. It scans documents, pictures and does a good job of it. The only thing I would like is to be able to scan and print from the internet. It will do this for documents, however, to scan a picture which is enclosed in a document proves to be more than it is capable. However, for all of its positives, I can live with this. I am a repeat purchaser of Epson printers also because I find the ink cartridges to be affordably priced. That is huge also. When my husband and I owned a business, Epson was my printer of choice. Thanks Epson for a product well made.

Followed your directions and install was easy to install. Everything tested correctly. Made prints on it's own for testing driver install. A very nice feature for people who don't install printers for a living. The prints and copies have excellent quality.
