This printer exceeded my expectations. The wireless feature is perfect and to be able to print from my phone put this printer over the top. Print quality is great. I have a small home based business and I recommend this printer.

Uses way too much ink

I thought all printers had a "draft" feature that doesn't use full ink if you just needed a trial or draft copy. Was disapointed that this feature doesn't exist with this model. It uses way too much ink and I have to change my cartridges constantly. Other features work like any other printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid ink vacuum

We originally had a competitor's product in our high end men's salon. When two of them broke within a month, we moved over to the workforce on recommendation of a colleague. It's a pretty solid printer BUT the ink cartridges are TINY and it seems like it's always low or out of ink. The printer also does a poor job of waking up from power save mode on LAN. It often needs to be given a swift kick (push a few buttons or turn it off and on) in order for it to show up as available over the Ethernet network. Operationally, it's much more complicated to do simple stuff like change cartridges and make copies than other small office multifunction units... But it has lasted over 6 months, so it gets points for that.
Note: it's a shared printer but only for two computers - our salon management system which prints maybe two dozen pages per day and my remote office computer which mainly uses the workforce to scan.
This printer is probably best suited for low use directly tethered to its mothership.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Print is a bit Light

Easy to set up. Works well with Dell and Mac computers, iPad and iPhone. Only downside is that the print, both black and color seem to be a bit faded (light)...

My daughter has the 3420, She raved about it. I bought this and it is an excellent printer, scanner, copier. I don't use the fax, does anyone these days?

Why I only use Epson

I always panic a little when a computer goes down, but I always turn to Epson. It is reliable. I give it a good workout more often than not and it always does the job.
At some time I would love to get higher end epson all in one printer, but for now, I have to keep in a strict budget. I am able to do all the tasks I need done with the Epson WF-4630.
I am also impressed with the larger ink component. I love not having to change ink all the time!

Excellent Product

I was impressed with Epson products after purchasing and using the Photo R2880 printer. I am very happy with my new WF-3640 printer. It is a quality product, I like the WiFi capability which allows me to print from 2 PCs and a Mac. I like the high capacity black ink supply. I would recommend it to anyone.
