FAX ISSUE

I use this in my at home office. All the features work great except the fax. I have a dedicated fax line directly connected to machine and it is very slow and at times has errors. I have used other devices that work perfectly well. I know it is not an issue on the line. I have thought about bringing it back regarding this issue. But am satisfied with wireless, the printing copying, and scanning.

Output quality of this printer is excellent. After this machine connected to my wifi and I sent the first document, the machine instantly started printing. A lot quicker that the machine this replaced. After comparing brands I also discovered that the replacement cartridges are less less expensive than the HP brand.

so far its a great printer, scanner and fax. I mostly print out documents and pictures. The only problem Ive had recently is that the new ink Ive put in isnt working correctly. I tried resetting the printer but still only printing the ads or pictures in off blue and no text is printing., Ill be calling support and if need be change the ink. Other that this issue having for a year now its a great machine.

This is the first time we purchased an All in One Printer, Fax, Scanner. This is workhorse! The ink seems to last awhile in this particular model. So far we love it with no complaints. We highly recommend this product.

Steady Machine

I bought this Epson WF-3640 about 3 months ago to replace an all-in-one of another brand I'd had for quite a few years. I'd been a loyal customer of that major competing brand for many years until this replacement time, when I became convinced that the quality and relatively low maintenance cost of that brand was history. I haven't a long enough history with this machine to decide yet how economical it is to operate and maintain, but I like it so far. It does all that my previous printer did, but is a bit more compact and lighter, and it's wireless which is an advancement I was overdue for. Print quality is good, speed is a little better than I was used to is pretty user friendly, and my print copies don't wind up on the floor if I forget to put up the stop. It starts up much quicker after it's been turned off and shuts down quickly and does both quietly. I am stumped when I want to manually do a flatbed scan or copy rather than to command it remotely from my laptop - For some reason I've failed to make that work and I may need to make a call to support about that. My one prior call to support was a good experience. In a nutshell, so far it seems to me the price of this Epson model was right and I'd call it a very fair value, and possibly it will turn out to be an excellent one.
