if your into photo quality, I would not recommend this printer. It needs one more ink cartridge to improve the quality of the photo. I don't like that if a ink cartridge runs out of ink, you can no longer print - this means you always have to keep a supply of ink on hand.
If your looking for a printer that just prints, it's good enough. I believe Epson over thought the functions, scanning and copying take some thought or reading to get them to work - they should be intuitive

Epson WorkForce WF-3640 All-in-One Printer

Although we purchased this printer a year after we purchased our iMac, it is apparently able to scan to our computer only if we have an earlier (older) operating system! I learned this through web searches.
The print quality is good, changing ink cartridges is easy, and copying--even multiple copies--is a breeze.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looked a long time at printers and decided on my Epson all in one 3640. There were many mixed reviews and I took a chance on it anyway. Glad I did. Have not used scan mode yet but every other feature works great
I would recommend this to a friend!

it appears this printer uses ink at a rapid rate, is not able to use printer ink produced by third parties, locking us in to purchasing cartridges directly from the manufacturer which are more expensive than necessary and makes for maximizing our expenses and minimizing our net income which of course is contrary to good business management practices

This is the best printer I'e ever had and I've had then all. Set up was very easy, print quality and speed are great and economy of printing is right in line. Great printer. I already have recommended it to my friends and will continue to do so.

Everything works(wed) great except for one thing: It still uses too much ink, or the quantity/cost ratio is much too low. Ran out much too fast.
