black stops printing; fixed that but lines missing

Extremely poor performance. Good connectivity and the pairing with all my devices works flawlessly. But the printer stop working properly, first giving me blank pages when printing black and white; fixed that after long research on the web (basically use the clean print-head 10 times) but then still several lines are missing for all colors now. Wasted a lot of time, absolutely mesmerized how in the year 2016 Epson is not capable of delivering the technology to print a document at home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I picked up this printer originally on March 2, 2016 and after trying 3 different black printer cartridges still no luck in getting it set up. It didn't seem to recognize any of the black ink cartridges no matter what I did. After much frustration I finally took it back to Staples n April 5, 2016. Even though it was more than 30 days after I purchased it they were more than happy to let me exchange it for a new one. Finally success in getting everything set up. Now I know the first printer I got must have been a used return to Epson as the printer toner cartridges that came along with it were opened and didn't have the yellow tabs on them. It was also missing the CD Rom to install the drivers. This time I made sure that we opened it up first before I took it home. Now that I'm up and running I hope that there will be no future problems.

Horrible

Right out of the box had issues with not printing clearly... left blank lines across the pages and had to use the clean print head setting numerous times before it printing somewhat acceptable... then had issues with an admin password that was set and am unable to do anything about it...... Stay away!!!!!

Paper Jams

Printer will only feed one sheet at a time from the top feeder. Multiple sheets only designate paper jam. No useful information on Epson site to remedy situation

Sad experience

I've had Epson printers for many years. Sadly I'm finding that I'm buying new ones ever 6-12 months because they don't last. My previous printer stopped feeding paper. This one has stopped printing black (purchased 6 months ago). I think my future printer will not be an Epson.

I love the reminders I received when my black ink was getting low; However, wait until a message pops up to actually change the cartridge. In this way, you can continue to use a cartridge until the very end and not waste ink because of changing before absolutely necessary. I seem to have trouble starting a scan from the printer screen. Lately, I click on the scanner icon from my computer desk top and that works better for me. There is a quiet setting on the printer which makes for less noise and I keep it on. You can make this change in the printer properties window. Print, Copy and Scan quality is very good. I did not set up the Fax yet but I have not been able to use the printer with my Netbook. No printer icon is showing when I try to print from my Netbook. I need to check the online manual to see what needs to be done to use the printer with my netbook. There is no problem with using the printer with my desktop computer. The two paper trays and the touch screen are great to have and the set-up was easy with the Quick Guide.

Runs through ink far too quickly

A great little machine, but for one major downfall: the ink runs out in no time at all. For those who use a printer regularly and need to print out more than a few pages a week: DO NOT GET THIS PRINTER! The ink is not cheap and before you know it, you're running back to the store for more.

It is good except it uses up ink (especially black) extremely quickly: I just purchased it for two months and only printed about 100 sheets of documents mostly black and white and then the black ink has already been depleted.
Hope you give a discount for purchasing ink.
