Very good printer. Print and scan quality is very clear. It's been reliable. Especially appreciate the super-large black ink cartridges. No problems with ink cartridges in general. They don't dry out and last well.
Good support with software & firmware updates. Good customer support on the phone.
To me a definite upgrade from the other big printer company.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got it up and running

Using the instructions I unpacked the printer and took off, I thought, all of the blue tape. I started the printer and it failed. I then found some more blue tape and began again. Everything went well until I had to load paper and I found more blue tape. I was able to complete all functions and the test page was great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

OK For The Money

In general the machine does what it is meant to do. Image quality is sketchy as it distorts a line of text here and there making it look like italics.
I don't use the wi fi connection because I have to reboot my router daily to make it work.
Even being connected via USB, I have to restart my Mac every time I want to scan (which is nearly every day).
I swore I would never buy another ink jet printer and now I remember why. It is SLOW.
The Mac driver sucks. You can't even specify duplex when you print.
The price is what drew me into the purchase, but once again the old adage "you get what you pay for" has been proven true.

Epson WF3640

I have had 2 Epson printers and like them both. When it came time to replace the 835 Artisan I was looking for a printer that was a little more rugged. The 835 had served me very well but I need something a bit more so naturally I looked at Epson first. After reviewing it and the HP line I selected the 3640. I am really impressed with this printer. It handles the printing needs quickly and I love the ability to print on two sides of the paper without having to reinsert the paper.
I would recommend this to a friend!
