This WF-3640 is more useful then expected and easy to use, I love the fact that you can print from your smart phone

I've had my 3640 now for a while and it has performed as advertised. Having the type of paper trays it has definitely keeps the paper clean and ready always. My previous printers didn't have this important feature. Now add the wi-fi ability makes it even better for my situation. Keep up the good work.

Uses ink unreasonably fast

Consumer Reports rated the Workforce 3640 high enough to convince me to buy Epson but after having to replace all my ink cartridges three times since buying it I am not so sure it was the right investment going into retirement

Just installed it 10/4/16 so still getting acquainted with it. The overall design makes it VERY EASY easy to use. I like everything about it! ! The view window is large enough to SEE the icons that are a great help. It makes nice copies in B&W & Color. I needed a little help & received good assistance from the Product Set-Up Help Line. I don't use the FAX or WI-FI hook-ups. Ink is reasonably priced direct from EPSON. This is a "Consumer Friendly" printer. I LOVE IT! ! !

I have had this printer less than a year. great beginnings, finished last. it is now displaying the error code 97, and I cannot print more than one page of a document before prompted to shut it down and then on again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson WorkForce WF-3640 All-in-One Printer

I’ve had my Epson WF-3640 printer for about two months now, & I have to say I’m very impressed with the print quality. It’s fast & quite. I’ve own at least three other Epson printers over the year’s & like this one the best. The three paper trays give me flexible printing options. I loaded white paper in tray one & use try 2 for colors. The third tray I use for envelopes.
The software instructions don’t tell you this & I had to learn the hard way. I tried to do the printer set-up wirelessly on my first install & the printer wouldn’t connect reliably to my router, so I uninstalled the software. I did a re-install following the instructions, I then hooked up the printer using a USB cable. The software was easy to set up once I had the printer operating off of the USB cable.
Then I simply when back thru the set-up process & when wireless. It’s very convenient for my small office three P.C. network.
