Epson printer upgrade

Printer is great. However, the wireless part isn't. I have from laptops to phones I would like to set up but having difficulties doing so. Otherwise, 5 stars and would recommend. Love the touch screen feature and very quick to print.

Does Some Really Good Work

Worked great right out of the box -- I only downgraded it by one star because setting up the network (WIFI) connectivity was not especially clear with the materials included with the printer. In order to get clear instructions I had to go online and download the manual -- ugh! It should be really clear with nothing more than what's included in the box. The quality of print is really sharp for both text and pictures, and copy and scan features work quite well, with scans being directed to any computer on my local network. The only improvement in the scanning files is that PDF be one of the formats, instead of having to print a graphics file to store a scan in PDF format.

Printed an Invoice as first print job

Just trashed our hp 6500 in exchange for the Epson WF-3640 and so glad we did! The install and set up (on our windows pc) went very well with only one minor hiccup -- had to connect via USB to set up the Wireless Network. Followed the instructions, which are well written and we're printing! Just in time too -- have a major business presentation in two days and the documents must be perfect. Now we'll set up on our Linux computer. We researched other All In One machines and liked the reviews of the WF-3640.

Out of the box set-up

Out of the box set up is quite simple on my I-Mac. However, getting the connection to my Wi-Fi is a bit confusing. The check Network Connection passed everything EXCEPT for the Detailed IP Setup Check which stated UNKNOWN.
Still a hassle with that. Will probably need some assistance if the manual doesn't explain the error of my ways.

After an easy installation and setup, the printing projects were handled with ease. Storage of fax numbers for future use and scanning capacity are both helpful features. The quality of this product is much higher than my previous all in one.

Happy printing

I never thought of buying an Epson printer until I started to shop around for a new printer. I got a it on sale at a great price for what it does. I had no problems setting the printer up at all. It functions as expected. Very happy with it. Only thing is that it only comes with the setup ink cartridges so that was disappointing. But I have already ordered more ink for it. Other than that I'm very pleases with it so far.

Affordable, Efficient

We homeschool, and we've gone through three printers in five years. They can't handle the volume we need to print. They're too slow, and use too much ink.
Not this printer! It is fast, efficient, and best of all, affordable! And with duplex printing, we can save half the paper we would have used for copying.

Epson WorkForce WF-3640 All-in-One Printer

We had a little trouble getting set up do to mixed messages from us. It's up and running now and it is great. I can print any web page with no hassel. It is a tad quieter than our other printer was (Not an Epson) and will be a whole lot cheaper to run.
