Easy Set UP

Easy set up. Screen on printer easy to read and easy to follow instructions. Don't put your ink in before you begin, wait for that instruction. Wait to Add paper when instructed as well. Prints quickly. Feels sturdy when opening cover. I like that the paper is enclosed in the drawer. Slide the paper guides left/right, it is a firm push/pull to do so. We only use fax if someone insists so we needed the fax feature and easy to set it up as an option but not for daily use. We installed driver including wireless network on a MacBook and a PC. Easy installation on both. I think the PC showed more details as drivers installed. Haven't tried printing envelope (which installs in rear feeder) or photos yet. Prints fast. Will try double sided soon. Not a beautiful or sleek appearance but I chose it for its functions and easy operation. Reviews led me to think this model (WF 3640) has less ink printer head issues. I will use Epson brank ink to avoid issues.

I like my Ebson printer. I have one thing that I am not happy with and that is every so often it does something that makes a noise and resets something on its own when I am not using it.

I bought this printer yesterday after my second Canon printer died. The install was quick, easy and flawless. All of my devices connected once it was set up on the primary computer. Thank you Epson for getting this right!
P.S. The speed is FANTASTIC! I love how it prints both documents and photos!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What is happening? I'm so confused.

I have recently set up my printer. After many unsuccessful tries at connecting wirelessly - I'm not very smart when it comes to this, I can say the quality of the prints looks amazing. The down side, and it's a big one for me, is the firmware update recently automatically added. I quit counting paper after three, but due to this update, I have seen what is sure to be several hundred papers just wasted with this garbled letters and numbers printed on approximately 3% of each page. What an absolute waste! I just keep taking papers out of the tray and throwing it in the trash. This has been going on for about 14 minutes now. I don't see an end. I splurged on fancy paper, and I am sure paying for it now. I hope I have enough ink left over at the end to finish my work. The waste is immoral and confusing. Now it's just barking at me like it knows I am talking about it. I am lucky to be entertained with some YouTube. I am going completely bananas at this point. It said 15 minutes, It did not say paper going bye-bye. I wonder if both trays are going to be completely used up. That's a full ream of paper - a cost to me of approximately 12.00. I will find a way to submit a picture of the waste. Every time it slows down, I think it is going to be done, but they just keep coming. I will continue to write as this keeps happening. It's not 15 minutes, now its more like 20. I literally do not know what is happening anymore to this printer. I am very sure that it is somehow possessed by a hotel ghost. I have decided to give up on this review and try to decipher the code. Perhaps my printer has managed to solve world peace? Now it's my fault for not having the smarts to figure out what my printer is trying to say. I am afraid to shut it off for this reason. Now I am not sure it will run out of gas, will the hotel charge me more for using electricity? The neighbors are pounding on the wall telling me to keep it down. It's not even that loud of a printer. . . I finally hit stop. The silence is deafening. It is stuck in a canceling mode. Printer limbo, perhaps. I am powering down, and the printer is very angry with me. Dear god, I turned the power back on and it started over. I am making an attempt to cancel again. It does not fix the problem. A final update, the firmware process was cancelled and I don't know if the printer works yet. I am afraid to turn it back on now.
