Nice printer but arcane setup procedures

I like the print output on my WF360 but the Setup was difficult. I followed the Quick Start guide to a "Tee", but on Step 2 "Turn on and configure", it kept stalling and giving me an error code of 0x69. Unfortunately, though it tells you to refer to your User Guide or Epson Online sources, there isn't any reference to tell you what that error code means! I had to place a call to the 1-800 Support Line. A guy named "Joe" was very nice and walked me through setting it up. So, I have no complaint about the support I've received at this time, but still it was frustrating that Epson doesn't provide an easy-to-access list of those error codes. It turned out my snap-in cover for the printer cartridges was unsecured and that caused the error to appear. Hopefully this printer will prove to live up to the generous recommendation I received from the folks at COSTCO....

So Far, So Good

I bought this printer a few months ago and so far it works great! My wife uses it daily for faxes and the printing quality is great, so far. Setting it up had a hick-up or two. I used the disk to install the computer on a wireless network but the computer could not find the printer. I had to turn the printer off, then back on again; the computer found it the second time. I also had to have the laptop in the same room with it, or it couldn't find it on the network. After the first time however, I haven't had any issues printing from two floors away. I love the fact that Epson ink is normally less expensive than other manufacturers and the price of the printer itself is great for the product you get!

Setup not user friendly

Been trying to get the printer to print--won't even print the test page. Read everything in troubleshooting with no results. Owned many printers but never had trouble like this before. Have owned 6 other Epsons without problems. By the way, no USB cable comes with the printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a few weeks ago, and thus far, I'm loving it! It replaces an older WF-3620 that I've had for a few years now. I'll buy nothing but Epson WF printers from now on.

EASY SETUP

Very happy with the ease of set up for WiFi use. This is a replacement All-in-One Printer, replacing my Epson WF-7110 that only lasted slightly less than two years. Hopefully, this new WF-3640 will outlast the last one. Like all the features this has, except I have no use right now for the FAX feature.
