Now, I just purchased and setup this printer; therefore, I can't speak much about its durability or complete functionality. However, the setup was smooth and extremely easy. More importantly was my discovery of the various capabilities that truly were not addressed in the external box notes. So, far I am more than pleased with the device, and if it has the quality of another EPSON printer that we used, I anticipate some great printing jobs. My wife and I have already become "enthralled" over the three-tray capability. For now this will have to do!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Drops Wireless Network for Printing

If it works reliably over wireless network for printing, it would get a 4 stars. Minus 1 star for poor user interface design in utilities included in the product.
However, printing keeps showing offline message. And requires me do some manual step like toggling printer for offline on/off. Definitely a show stopper issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

AWFUL

This is the single worst piece of technology I have ever purchased. It constantly loses connection despite showing a strong connection and being 10 feet from the router. Simple settings such as the ability to assign a static IP are completely missing from the interfaces. Cannot select pdf as a default setting for the scan to buttons. Routinely doesnt see my computers from the device scan settings. Software interface is awkward and poorly written. Failure of one cartridge causes entire printer including scan functionality to halt. Rear feed malfunctions. Loud.
Firmware and software updates did not help or made printing worse (if that is possible).
Mac OSX and I lots of IT experience.

Hard to set up

All I want to do is be able to print from my phone, VERY VERY hard and confusing, after jumping through all kinds of hoops I think I'm getting closer, so far it has been a very frustrating experience. Not sure if all printers are this complicated to "set up"

Productive OUt of the Box

Took the printer out of the box, followed the simple installation instructins and was printing from my computer, copying, and doing two sided scanning with absolutely no problems. This printer is working so well, I might replace my laser with it. I can't remember when I have been so happy with any technology product. I highly recommend it to anyone needing the type of work it does.

My Epson Workforce WF-3640

I purchased this product tody to replace a printer that I had been happy with for many years. This one has more features, cost less money and uses ink cartridges that are also cheaper. I have tried it out on multiple printings and am very satisfied. I would highly recommend it for any general printer needs including wireless, FAX capability, both side printing, etc., etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

How fast is a Epson WF-3640

The WF-3640 is so fast to get set up that I had it working in less that 10 min. from the time I got the box into the house. And most the time was used asking what we were going to have for dinner. The printer does most of the set up for you. Just plug it in put in the ink and paper and the disk and you are ready to print.
I would recommend this to a friend!
