Poor print quality

I purchased this to replace a 10 year old HP. I wanted the wireless printing features. The printer was easy to set-up and wireless works fine. The print quality is not good. It looks blurry and smudged. I have done multiple print head cleanings and alignments without any improvement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Has Lots of Features

I've had this printer for one month. So far, it prints great and the Automatic Document feeder has only failed twice when scanning documents. This printer has 2 paper trays so I setup Tray 2 for letter size and Tray 1 for Envelopes. You have to manually select the tray you want when you print or it defaults to your last selection (i.e. if you select Tray 1 for envelopes, it stays envelopes the next time you print a document). I wish it could automatically determine which tray to use but still having a 2nd tray for envelopes is fantastic! This printer replaces my Epson Workforce 645 which the ADF stopped grabbing paper.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Print Quality

After the first ink replacement, the print quality is muddy and not very sharp. Purchased the "XL" in and received the same poor quality even after performing the maintenance steps.
I've purchased the smaller printers and never had this problem before. Made 4 ink replacements and still disappointed.

The best I have ever used. This printer makes my work look professional. And the fact that I use it with office 365 makes it even better. It was the right choice and it worth the price.

I originally thought this might be a cheap alternative to getting a laser printer, as it was marketed that way. I have had this printer for about a year and a half and the quality of the printing has really diminished. Despite best efforts with cleaning and other maintience and reinstalling drivers, and resetting printer, the same issues persist. My documents no longer look professional, is the bottom line. Only way to get decent prints is to print with high quality turned on; I would not consider what is being produced "high quality." At least the scanner works, attached is copy of print but I cant tell if you can see the details. I'm sure Epson makes great printers that stay reliable, this is just not one of them. Sad...
