Difficult Install

I purchased the Workforce 3640 because of the outstanding performance of an Epson Artisan 810. My thinking was the install would be as seamless. Wrong! Moreover, Epson decided to minimize hard copy instructions to a ridiculous level. And the PDF on line manual is useless and over 200 pages long. Other issues; wireless connectivity, registration struggles, clogged ink heads out of the box, poor labeling of paper trays and myriad other labor intense set up issues. Epson would be wise to include more hard copy and therein fully explain all of the 3640 features. Sorry Epsin what a setback in brand appreciation.

Great system

This is a very good printer. Start up is fast, prints are clear (quite close to laser quality), 3 paper trays come in very handy and work well. The document feeder is also very dependable. Touchscreen is responsive and easy to use.
Only thing is that this is a replacement printer. The print head on the original clogged probably due to lack of use. I was away for about 3 weeks. Came back and could not get some of the colors to work.
Apparently this is a documented problem as I found several sources on the internet stating the same problem. Recommendation was to at least use all colors occasionally. I have noticed that the printer seems to move the print head randomly. I wonder if Epson has incorporated this as a fix.
Would highly recommend.

Ease of set-up

I have several Epson printers and continue to be amazed at the durability of the products. I am now adding to my inventory and replacing a ten year old printer which has been a workhorse. I really could still utilize the printer however I wanted some new features available now that were not available ten years ago.
I could not ne more pleased.

Printer was out of the box, plugged in, cartridges installed, put in some paper, all in ten minutes. Then went to computer for wireless Windows 10 installation, since my new Dell doesn't have a CD. Typed in epson.com/support and ten minutes later, I clicked "print test page", and it printed perfectly. All wirelessly, including hooking up to my house WIFI without pushing a button. Nice job Epson!!!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS COULD BE WRITTEN IN MORE USER FRIENDLY DIRECTIONS RATHER THAN BY AN ENGINEER THAT UNDERSTANDS ALL THE PROCESSES AND WAYS TO INSTALL EVERYTHING FOR BROADBAND CONNECTIONS.

Pretty good for small home office

My husband and i bought one this spring. the first one we bought we had to return as soon as we took it out of the box because the printing quality was lack luster. after that we received a new one and today 9/29/2015 we began having issues with the print heads and nozzles. we kept our receipt and registered it online because we will probably have to return it since it hasn't been a year. other than that the printing quality is nice and the all in one functions well for home offices. KEEP YOUr RECEIPTS

We.bought the fist Workforce printer in December. By April it was toast. They sent me a new one (refurbished) and the document feeder don't work on it. I like the feature but it seams like a fragile machine.
