I know technological improvements over time add to the simplicity, quality, and multi-functionality of printers. My first printer years ago was an Epson and I did not like it. So, I have avoided as I have made several purchases since. This time, a salesman pointed out the Epson. It was a close call, but i am so pleased having purchased the Epson.
This one allows me to enlarge and has a second tray for other kinds of paper. Plus, I do not have to purchase an entire multi-color cartridge if i run out of just one color!
I held off writing a review until I had formed an opinion. I could not ask for better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love Epsons - this is my fifth one in 10 years (gave away a couple and still have an Artisan 810). I'm having a little trouble with it since installing Windows 10 but I'm not blaming the Workforce 3640. It's a greatlittle work horse - and great to have two paper cassettes as well as the usual Epson bells and whistles. Good quality, good wireless, easy setup (at least until Windows 10 and Office 2016 showed up). I'd recommend.

No way to assign LAN port a static IP address
on October 10, 2015

Tough screen lacks a way to configure static IP address to LAN port.
I have downloaded and installed EpsonNet Config on my MacBook Pro. It failed to setup the IP correctly after I click Transmit the changes via: EpsonNet Config -> TCP/IP Basic Manual 192.168.1.200 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.1(gateway, it is a joke that EpsonNet Config provides a default 255.255.255.255)
The end results are that the printer got a 0.0.0.0 IP address. There is a mis-communication between EpsonNet Config Software and the printer.

1. WF-7620 2.WF-3640 They are helpful with Volunteer Services Material, and Music Studio. The WF-7620 Wide Print Feature 11" x 17" allows us to prepare lesson plans - displays that are user friendly for sight impaired. Rear paper feed desirable working with special material used in posters etc. The WF-3640 does most of our everyday basic needs, paper trays 1. and 2. use of different paper without changing; the Rear Paper Feed is a PLUS. These EPSONS are user - friendly

I goy the Epson 3640 today. Set up took about 30 min. Had a small problem hooking up wireless. My problem forgot to turn wireless on my computer. After that it went on with the rest of set-up. Printed test page was very fast. Printed from computer was also very fast. So far it looks this is good fit for our use. The price was good for our needs.

This 4 in 1 was purchased to be a Network printer, network scanner, as well as a FAX. It was a warranty replacement for a 3620 with which I had problems installing. After installation all features of a network device worked well except one: I could not print to it from the desktop computer on which it was initially installed. The only way I could print to it from the desktop was to use the direct wired USB connection. This was also true of the 3620 and an earlier network printer. The network print problem had happened on the first printer after it had initially worked well as a network printer for a while. This led me to believe the problem was with the installation software and printer settings that I couldn't figure out. So, I am using it as a direct USB printer for the desktop and a network device for all the other computers on my home network. It does what I need it to do, so I'm done fighting the status quo. Perhaps Epson may want to investigate the way the printer is set up in the installation SW. I hope this doesn't happen with your Epson.

Just installed yesterday but install was easy and it works great. Many nice features and I like having 4 individual cartridges and two paper trays. Didn't come with a USB cable which wasn't needed as we connected it wirelessly to my existing wi-fi network and it was easy and worked great. Now I have access via other devises to print as necessary. Great product for the money!
