clogged all the time

unfortunately this printer has given me a lot of problems. the heads are always clogged and the cleaning cycles never do anything except for waste ink. somehow if i print in high quality mode, things come out OK, but that's a hassle.
also i can never get the colors to come out right on 4x6 photo prints. no profile that i can find seems to be correct.
i like the features of this printer but somehow it's fallen short.

I registered my printer as part of a driver download so I would make my printer work on my Mac. After completing the whole process the WEB site never gave me any chance to download any driver. This was a waste of time. If this printer can;t work on a MAC then I guess I bought the wrong printer. I won't make that mistake again!

Disappointed

I have followed the on-line manual and quick guide in an effort to print card stock in the rear paper feed. There does not seem to be an answer fro it continually creating a paper jam or by-passing the card stock and printing from a tray. Very frustrated with this printer.

Extremely disappointing

I can't think of anything I like about this printer. It is incredibly noisy, there is a fault on the drum such that the text is wobbly even two inches down the page, and the file-naming process for scanned documents is unnecessarily tedious. My only hope is that its life spam is as poor as the quality and it breaks soon so I can buy a different printer.

You did not enclose a manual, like most of the new products. Your printer came with all 4 inks but by the time I had reproduced the entire manual---it took me one week to have to replace my inks. I saw no sense in just doing certain items because, for sure, what I need to look up would not have been printed. So I did the entire manual. NOW I would like you to replace all 4 inks. You should value people purchasing your product enough to at least enclose a manual. The printer so far has done ok but is rather loud. I have problems with putting the picture paper in the back. It rejects it and it goes right thru. Said something like it is not what I entered for paper. Now I will have to read my manual. SEE?????

Beware Epson printers not recogonizing ink cartrid

This is my second Epson printer. My last one, WF-3520, started to "not recognize" brand new Epson ink cartridges when putting in a new cartridge. That happened soon after it was soon out of warranty. I have the same behavior with this new printer, WF-3640, after less than 3 months when trying to replace the magenta cartridge for the first time. This concerns me. When the printer fails to recognize the cartridge, it may recognize another, different, brand new cartridge. But this is not cost effective. For the old WF-3520, I bought many new (expensive) cartridges before finding one that would work. And for the new WF-3640, Epson Tech Support has agreed to send me a new magenta cartridge to try. But if the new printer follows the path of the old, soon I will be out of warranty and buying/throwing out brand new cartridges until the printer recognizes one. I believe Tech Support said this might be a print head issue.
