Growing on me slowly

I expected a bit more user friendly printing. I have noticed a delay in printing from the time I have hit submit to the time the wi-fi connection kicks in and printing begins. Im still trying to figure out the scan features and how to save to a folder or desktop. So far not impressed with the quality of the scan as shown in the preview screen. Will play with the settings and also call into their tech support line to get me through my issues quicker. Will revisit and write a fresh new review.

When it works, it's wonderful! Very difficult to reinstall machine, even after deletion of all Espon programs and files. Troubleshooting does not solve problems. Been trying to set up for several days, and continue to receive error messages.
Poor explaination of the the wide assortment of additiional drivers, utilities, firmware and administrator tools results in even more confusion. Event Manager? EpsonNet Config Utility? Epson Connet Printer Setup Utility?
I love Epson products, but this one's consuming too much time, and still unable to print or scan.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Standing Above the Rest

This printer is the best all in one system that I've ever owned. The print quality is next generation quality. I no longer need print shops for the photos that I print, I can now do it here from my home. Thanks Epson.

Switch -Epson "other guys" - Best Install to date

After buying another brand for years due to an excellent experience with my first all in one bought in 2000 and lasting till there were no longer driver upgrades or "pin cables" (still worked) then moving to home versions my last experience trashed their image. So off to the store - compared these other guys business model to the EPSON, and chose EPSON this time. The unit was solid and provided more features in the same price range. THIS INSTALLATION was so smooth and so simple compared to all previous new printers I wish I had 'switched" earlier. Now for the long term and addition of 2 cells and another PC. I expect this will go well, day 1 hour 1 is off to a great start. THANKS EPSON, life is too short and busy to fight with equipment for hours. :)

Considering the modest cost of the printer, it is probably not charitable to make critical remarks. But on the other hand, you asked for it!
Overall, the printer is satisfactory. It has been difficult learning all the features since transitioning from an older model Canon.
The second greatest drawback has been the "learning curve". At times, the instructions are a bit difficult to interpret. The manner in which certain things are accomplished is a departure from familiar methodologies. What the use of the rear feeder is remains a mystery!
Printing regular correspondence on letter size paper is quick, easy and of good quality. We find little need for the high speed printing prefering to go for better print quality.
And now the biggest drawback of all: The ungodly price of replacement ink cartridges. A full set of extra large cartridges can exceed the price of the printer. The printer itself should come with a warning label about the price that will be required to replace print cartridges!
