excessive ink used
on January 2, 2015

The level of my red ink had gone down drastically after printing a couple of predominately red and green photos , having just purchased a printer that claims to be very efficient with the ink and It appears to be either not true or the cartridge has a very little ink in it. . I have had some difficulty with the printer accepting correct paper cassette instruction. I have set up cassette 1to receive photo paper and 2 for plain paper, yet when I selected cassette 2, it requested that I load cassette 3.....that is for envelopes. This printer is intended to replace an older Epson RX 680, I may still return this new model in favor of the older printer

Dead after one month

I've had this printer for only 6 weeks and it's already dead. It is unresponsive and refuses to do anything but display an error message on power up. I am only now starting the support process so I have no comment on that at this time.
However they end up settling this, I have now spent money on what should be a dependable product that would save me time, and instead have ended up with something that will drain my time and effort to resolve the issue.
For the times it did print, everything went well and wireless connectivity was easy to setup.

WF3640 printer

While I love the printer, I am confused about having 3 cassettes. I printed something on colored paper and it came out on the white. I have printed out the instructions but find them very difficult to find the answers to my questions. I just need to know which cassette to use for which paper--and which cassette will produce which paper. Help! I'm sure this is my ignorance, but there are lots of people with me! On the positive side: Terrific quality, easy operation, holds LOTS of paper!!

Great Printer

Best working printer I have ever owned. I have had at least 6 different printers and this one has it all, fast, efficient, multi color, does not stall and my 5 computers are all hooked up to this printer. Gives me larger number of copies per ink cartridges than my other printers.

Poor Scanner function
on February 16, 2015

I liked everything about this printer so was disappointed when the scanner function didn't perform properly. Documents could be printed out quickly and clearly. However, when that document was then scanned and printed from the scanned image (which didn't have a crisp appearance and also had a faint shadow in the background) it took a long time. Printing a 3 page document directly took less than a minute - printing the same scanned in document took 4 1/2 minutes. I bought another printer and did the same functions mentioned above with the machines side by side and had rapid printing with both functions. I called Epson, was escalated to level 2 tech support and went through every possible problem. I really wanted to keep this printer and didn't see any reviews that mentioned this problem. I'm thinking that it might be a problem with this particular machine. However, I've now installed another printer and it scans and prints just fine.

just hope you do not need a warranty replacement

i am on my 4th replacement. The replacement printers are refurbs and NOT tested properly. Each time i get a printer, it has a different problem. This printer will not grab more than one page to scan.

Nice features, weak fax
on March 17, 2015

I have very much enjoyed the two sided paper handling of this machine. Copying, printing, etc. The two trays hold a variety of materials, and the feeder works well. Jams have been rare. But if you are a frequent fax user AVOID THIS MACHINE. Feedback during a fax is virtually non-existent. I am forever wondering if a fax went through or not. The display has no useful feedback like Dialing, Sending, Done, Error, 3 Pages Sent, etc. It just sits there. A blue light flashes but there is nothing in the manual saying what that means. You don't hear send fax noises. The fax log shows the calls but not the outcomes. You have to hunt elsewhere in admin to find the cumulative log and print out the report of the fax to see what happened. Really annoying.

Print from iPhone DOES NOT WORK
on March 21, 2015

Even though the product manual says it can, I have tried to print to this printer from my iPhone, but it will not print. My iPhone recognizes the printer, and the printer is set up, but it won't print and there is NO info on the web about troubleshooting.
