Highly Recommend

I purchased the Epson WF-3640 several months ago. The wireless set-up was extremely easy. Printing speed meets my expectations and is certainly faster than my previous printer. Ink usage or cost per page seems OK although I did not track the number of pages that I printed. I mostly print Word, Powerpoint or similar documents. A few pictures that I did print are OK but I did not purchase the printer for photos.

SD Card

Was glad to see that the SD slot is still included. I was told that "everyone prints from there phone" and SD is no longer needed. LOL Love the 3640, 2 sided printing, top loading paper, envelope tray...... :) Epson has always listened to their customers. Picture and print quality is the best!

"Start Here" Installation Instructions lacking
on January 17, 2015

I believe I'll love the printer, but there were several things in the "Start Here" Installation Pages that slowed down the installation on my laptop: 1. Install Ink Cartridge: --I found the crossed out boxes (for don't do this, as in the Ghostbuster's Logo) somewhat confusing--especially the one showing not to pull the plastic off the side of the cartridge. I think those could be left out with a brief description of what to do (ignore what not to do) for each picture. 2. Install Software: describes MAC, not Windows. plus it didn't recognize my own wifi until I turned the printer off, then back on (not in instructions).

Had to get a new printer because old one died. I was dreading this task because I had never installed one and my tec skills are not great. I was able to follow the instructions on the paper, screen and on the CD and was I surprised when it WORKED the FIRST TIME!!

Easy set up

I have several devices that need to be able to print from a single printer. I am not that tech savvy so I was worried I wouldn't be able to handle getting them all to print. I am so please, it could not have been easier. I have iSO, android and windows and they all printed without any problem. Have had several Epson printers over the years and prefer them, their ink is much better. This one is the best printer yet. Large touch screen to navigate with.

Great printer - but too many offers

The WF-3640 has great options for setting it up either wireless, as a network printer, or direct connect. I like the two large paper trays so I don't have to add paper as often. Being able to connect a USB flash drive and print from it is super. The only thing I don't like are the all too frequent offers to buy Epson inks and paper.
