Great economical printer

I just got this printer and it seems to be working wonderfully. Love how Epson comes out with a performance printer that offers economical ink. With the low cost of the ink, I can make more prints and do more projects without worrying about spending too much $. You get a color screen, fax, scanner, printer and copier. What more can you ask for? The color is crisp and clear and printer prints in a decent speed. Thank you Epson for making my life easier.

Like most I am always on the go. Not always at my desk or able to wait until emails are downloaded to a desktop or laptop. Again like most, I carry a smartphone or as I tell my kids, a mini-computer disguised as a phone. The ability to print from my emails from my phone and/or from the internet is amazing to me. Saves soooo much time and the print quality is crisp. Thank you EPSON for such a useful tool!

This is my second Epson printer. I just traded in my 5 year old Work Force for upgraded WF3640. So easy to set up with step by step instructions anyone can understand.
You can't beat the price and it has all the bells and whistles you need.

I decided on the WF-3640 when i decided i wanted nice photos but most of my printing was not photo quality. in past experience i knew my former Epson from several years ago did really nice photos. I wanted a printer that did nice photos, and documents. Since I use 81/2 x 11 photo paper I was tired of always changing paper when I wanted photos or documents. With this printer I can quickly print documents and since I do not do a lot of photos I do not mind waiting a little extra time for the photos. The dual large paper trays are really nice to have - no more manually feeding photo paper when doing photos or forgetting photo paper is in the paper tray and printing documents on photo paper also there is a rear paper tray which I have not used yet. This printer selects the correct paper tray for the job. I love this printer and highly recommend it. Seems like a long time between ink cartridge changes using standard cartridges. I do not turn the printer off - I am not sure but this may save on ink. It works great in WIFI from both PC and MacBook Pro.

Nice machine but.........

I spent an hour trying to get the printer connected wireless to my computer. Finally, I called Product Support, and I was advised that I had to download a special driver if my computer uses Windows 7 or 8. There should be some sort of indication with the printer. Fortunately, Epson's support people are very knowledgeable and helpful.

This was the easiest electronic device I have ever installed. Followed the instructions step-by-step, didn't deviate. Test printed page came out perfect the first try.

Top feed doesn't work

Bought this unit and the first few months had issues feeding documents for copy or scan. The pages would not feed completely and then jam. I used to be able to get it to work by pushing the papers through one at a time.
Now nothing works. I have to scan documents by opening the lid and manually placing onto the glass.
Apart from this, I'm very happy with the printing functions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
