Nozzle issue
on February 19, 2016

After 2 months of usage, nozzle went completely useless and had to waste two ink cartridges to clean the nozzle. After multiple clean and 2 empty cartridges, it still now completely clean. I stop cleaning because I don't want to waste anymore expensive ink.

Junk

You will spend more time running maintenance on this printer than you will use it. The nozzles and heads clog constantly. Very unhappy with this product. Our business owns 5 Epson printers and they are all Junk. Same problems with all of them.

A "dud" after a few months!

I bought this WF-3640 well over a year ago and it worked for about 5-6 months. Having been a long time happy user of EPSON products, I didn't think twice about this printer & that was a big mistake! I failed to do diligent research & found all over the internet exasperated users of this printer - with the same problems I am now having, going back to 2014 & earlier.
Computer sends the command to the printer which in turn pushes out blank papers. I have changed ink cartridges several times, run maintenance, cleaned printer heads repeatedly.
EPSON ink is at the top end of "pricey". Probably by now have spent more on ink than the cost of a new printer.

Printer Designed to Sell Ink
on May 27, 2016

When my last Epson printer died. I bought this one because it used the same ink cartridges. But even though it is the same model printer it refused top accept the old ones even though they still had a lot of ink left. I've been using printers for over 30 years and this is the first time this has happened. I am very discouraged and I will not buy another Epson. Also the old one would nag you to replace the cartridges even though there was plenty of ink left. Enough to print at least another 50+ copies. They are designed to sell ink, and the customer ios the least of their concerns.

EPSON WF-3640

This printer had all I desired in a printer. One negative is I can not print if any color is out which is absurd. I purchased a complete new set of ink and kept the included starter set for emergency out of ink times when the stores are closed. The start-up is way to time consuming. It should not be that difficult. Besides that, as I stated, it has all the desires I wanted; 2 paper trays, dual side printing, SD slot, tray for odd paper sizes and ink jet for photos. So far the printer is printing exceptionally. Very pleased with the color prints. Hope this printer continues with the positives all the reviews state. Good Luck to Me.

Lousy Print Head Design
on August 17, 2016

A long time ago I had an Epson... The grid for print head test was never 100 percent. Its been years since then, but this new wf 3640 is just as bad, and black printing is consistently faded. I will be cashing in the protection plan, and will never get an Epson printer again.
I don't know why its so hard to design a head, and test printing, that shows 100 percent when it should. The test grid is always full of voids.

Perfect Printer for School Work!

I have had many printers over the course of 20 years, and I must say that I am very impressed with my Epson WorkForce WF-3640 printer. It has everything that I need in order to copy, print and fax my school work. It's super fast, and the ink is reasonably priced as well, as you can print more pages for your money! The print quality is absolutely wonderful.

I already own an Epson printer and it's awesome, so I upgraded to the Epson WF-3640 and it was a breeze setting it up and prints perfectly
