It prints as it says, but the footprint of the machine is huge and obnoxious.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

8610E printer

I bought this to replace a 10 yr. old CM 017 MFG laser printer that was outdated and couldn't get set up disk for it any more after my original set up disk were lost in a flood .
I like it better than the laser printer and it cost less for the ink cartridges. it is just as fast and does the same jobs as the old printer and cost less.
I also like the way it prints on the front and back of the paper. I don'r have to get up and turn the paper around as I did on the old printer.
To me it is a lot better printer at less the costI like the scanner and the way it faxes also

The 8610 has all the features you would want, and at the special price, is a good value. It is a large device and does not fit the printer area of my cabinet. Print quality is very good, but it is rather slow printing color photos.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very economical and high quality multi-use printer

This is the second HP 8610 I own and a replacement for the pioneer HP 8600. Is very reliable and does good quality printing/copying, faxing and scanning. Print cartridges last a long time. The printer is priced right and will last 2-3 years no problem. I bought the second one because I liked the first one so much and needed a printer at our winter home.
