[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this dishwasher with a suite of three other amazing LG appliances for our kitchen remodel. Apart from a couple of very minor cosmetic issues which LG's phenomenal customer service carefully and promptly addressed, we have really loved this product. We've been using it 2-3 times week for nearly 5 years now and the dishes come out just as clean as they did when did when it was first installed.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Performance, Quality

PROS:
Quiet, Dependable, Cleans Dishes Well
CONS:
The face on the door finish has peeled off in some spots, wash cycles are long, racks are steel with plastic coatings that erode quickly; exposing the steel causing rust (we've had to replace our racks twice in 2 years).
It is difficult to talk to someone one in customer support; however, once we did, getting replacement parts was not difficult.
PROS:

Also the unique design (bottom rack) provides flexibility to add different sizes of utensils, really a great feature. But the LG premium service plan is really terrible, so be cautious when purchasing this equipment.

Bad Rusting

We have had the dishwasher for a few years and first noticed the rusting about 18 months ago. All 3 dishtraystrays are now covered in rusting where the coating has come away from the tray and left exposed metal. Have looked everywhere for replacement dishtrays but as this item seems to be discontinued, there is nothing available!! Does this mean I have to purchase a whole new dishwasher just because the trays are rusty and unsafe?!?! Not a good product if you ask me!

I am really disappointed with the rust and breaking on the trays. I was told I must have nicked them. I have never had a dishwasher do this and the way each tray is rusting and breaking looks like it was damaged. It should not be doing this.
