racks rust - having to replace the racks again

it is a wonderful dishwasher EXCEPT FOR THE RACKS RUST QUICKLY - this will be the 2nd time that I have had to replace all 3 racks after only 8 years

Good washing performance but poor quality racks

We have been using this dishwasher for several years. It does a good job cleaning but all of the racks are falling apart as if they are melting with every cycle. For such a sturdy machine, how can LG use a really poor quality material for the racks? Buying new racks will cost 50% of the price of a new machine. I am never buying LG dishwasher again.
