Awful!

Just purchased yesterday. Keeps disconnecting and reconnecting during calls. SkullCandy less expensive and never an issue. SONY is a waste. Name too big, better brands less known.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor audio and microphone quality

Returned these the next day due to audio being low quality with almost no bass, and most importantly the calls I made resulted in people criticizing my voice as being annoyingly tinny and also my voice fading in and out consistently.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for the short time they last

I have had 3 pair in the past year. As others have said, they last about 6 months. The 3rd pair however only lasted 2 weeks. All 3 pair failed almost in identical fashion. Pair 1: left ear instantly stopped working after roughly 6 months of basic use. There was no warning signs, it just failed during a routine phone call. Pair 2: Right ear lost over 75% of its volume, almost as if the speaker was turned off. I unplugged it, reinserted it, it worked normal for about 10 minutes and completely died. It was only 5 months old with basic usage. Pair 3: After only 2 weeks of 2 hours a day usage making phone calls, both ears just stopped. I borrwed a coworkers headphones to verify it was not my phone. Simply put, they just stopped. I never threw a pair into the dumpster faster than I did these.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent for music - WORTHLESS for phone calls
on August 23, 2018

My first impression was decent, but that quickly faded. I ride my bike to work, and listen to music and podcasts - these headphones work decent for that and they seem to connect well at a distance from the phone. The layout and feel of the buttons is awful though - very counter-intuitive. Please give me tactile buttons in an obvious order (take a tip from Jabra Halo series - buttons are SUPER easy to find). With these I'm constantly pushing play/pause when I'm trying to adjust volume.
Unfortunately, these are completely useless for calls. The thin, very hollow plastic that goes around your neck picks up every single fiber of your shirt barely rubbing against it and amplifies that sound - which is completely inaudible otherwise - directly into your earbuds while you are trying to have a conversation. And that's only if you can stand the terrible connection long enough, because as soon as I make a call the audio rapidly cuts in and out like a strobe. I've had this happen with other bluetooth headsets, when the connection is too far away, or something is between the headset and phone - but this headset strobes the audio for 90% of every single phone call - which means I just turn them off and have to actually hold the phone. If I'm driving, I just have to suffer through terrible audio quality.
I only bought these because my Jabra pair broke, and these seemed like a decent replacement. Jabra is sending me a warranty replacement - when those arrive I'm getting rid of these.

Bad connectivity

If I go away from my cell phone, Bluetooth gets disconnected. Ok, normal but when i get next to the cell phone no automatic connection is received. I have to manually reconnect. Not good, too often. My previous Bluetooth had that great feature.
