WORST PURCHASE EVER

I bought this cooktop less than 6 months ago. Had it installed less than 45 days ago. The cooktop started off with a beeping sound going off in the middle of the night and throughout the day when it was not turned on. The only way to get it to stop was to cut the power off. Then the cooktop stopped responding to touch after getting hot. In order to cut it off I had to go turn the power off at the breaker. Now it will not even cut on. This is all with using the cooktop less than 45 days. Also LG has not provided any solutions or support. It has been 7 days since the service company came out and recommended a new unit and I still have NO answer in regards to getting it replaced.

This cooktop is perfectly intuitive. No instruction book needed! I love the child lock On the control center since I have two toddler grandchildren. The heating units are very easy to control and I Love being able to put a pan on a portion of the unit while it is cooling down without worrying about it tipping. It makes my kitchen look very sleek and it is a dream to clean.

Bought as part of LG suite for kitchen remodel. It replaced a 30 year old glass cooktop with knobs that was not too reliable. I've only used this LG a few times. It heats quicker than old one. Cleanup is better without knobs in the way. Owners manual and quick guide were fairly easy to comprehend. Recommended heat settings for various cooking will require some trial and error, but I think you should start out at a lower setting than those shown. I don't get all the speckles embedded in the surface.
