Knobs and grates are poor quality.

I bought this when I redid my kitchen and bought a very expensive LG cook top thinking that I would get a well made product. However, the knobs are cheap plastic that keep breaking, all printing on knobs and surface of stove are wearing out and the two outside grates have warped so my pots don't sit flat. It is 6 years old.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the cooktop!! It is easy to use and easy to clean. I wish I had a Griddle for searer for the top to cook steaks etc. Also I dont know how to take the Knobs off to clean under them. Otherwise it is AMAZING!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this when doing our full-gut kitchen remodel. I wanted a gas cooktop--I had been using electric cooktops for the 32 years we lived in our house. It is great! It is easy to light burners; it is easy to control the heat; and our overhead fan unit takes out any odors or gas aromas.
Unfortunately, it is not as easy to clean as my old cooktop was. There are curves and edges that require a little more effort. The stainless steel under the grates needs to be buffed to really shine, but this is just an inconvenience that I wasn't thinking of when I chose the appliance.

We are enjoying our new LG gas cooktop. It is a 5-burner unit with controls centered in front. This allows plenty of space for the burners and easy access to the controls. The cooktop is quite shallow and we were able to put in an additiona drawer below it (for flat utensils). The burners light quickly and burn smoothly and efficiently.

Scratches easily; grates can't come clean

While I love the gas cooking, I am very disappointed with the exterior quality. 1) The plastic knobs scratch easily, and one is stuck on and we can't remove it. 2) The black stainless steel surface scratches VERY easily, even in the bottom part of the tray where no pots or utensils are used. It is especially bad around the edges. We've only had this stovetop for 2-3 years, and it looks at least 10 tears old. 3)The cast iron grates are impossible to clean, even after putting in the dishwasher. Th stove works great - it's the exterior that needs some work.
