LG allows unsafe condition to exist..

Your LG LCG3011ST gas cooktop has a safety and design flaw. The plastic inserts that LG uses on the control knobs is a safety and fire hazard. The plastic inserts crack and break apart. After they crack and break a user has no idea what position the gas valve is. This is a safety and fire hazard. By the sheer number of bad reviews concerning the faulty knobs it is apparent LG does not intend to back its product until someone's home catches fire because of the condition is allowed to exist and someone gets hurt because of this safety condition that LG approves of.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Knobs are cheap and melted as soon as I used more than one cooking surface. Additionally, those that did not melt broke.

Not good quality. Get something else!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this unit since late 2016. The quality is not good at all. The knobs are cheap and flimsy. I have had to replace three of the (at a very high price). Even worse is that the printed text for the controls started to fade away years ago and today there is nothing left! I can't believe how they could have decided to use a cheap print instead of etching, etc. Does not take much of an engineer to figure out that will not be OK in the long run! Again I'm very disappointed and must bow look for a new appliance. As I'm sure LG will not pay attention to this so I will not look at them when buying an appliance in the future!

Despite reading other negative reviews about the knobs, we've had no problems at all! Excellent even heat, quick cleaning grates, and looks wonderful !

Good Product For Lite Cooking

I replaced my old cooktop recently with LG and I was happy as it is fairly a simple install and was added value in the kitchen looking great with style/Design. We cook heavily at home and noticed it is getting difficult in cleaning the spills and grease. This was not the case with my previous cooktop. I feel heat radiation is more compared to my previous cooktop. Also knobs color changed with in a month of use. Overall product is nice for very lite cooking only.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second LG cook top we have purchased. The first (in a previous house) was great so we bought another one for the new house. It was also great. Good control of flame level and easy to disassemble burners. The only complaint and it isn't a big one is that the knobs don't seem to be very strong or long wearing. We shall see.
