My daughter and I both have permanent retainers and this worked exceptionally well! We don't floss because it's a pain but this waterpik is very close to the same of a dental cleaning. I liked it so much, I bought five of them for family.

Nice water pic system but hate the tooth brush

To like the water-pik part of this system but I do not like the toothbrush that goes along with the system. It’s the sonic type and, if you have sensitive gums, doesn’t feel comfortable on them. I like the rotating head type as opposed to the sonic head type.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had the device for less than one month so I have no opinion on the durability of the product. The water pic device and the sonic toothbrush function very well and are easy to use. I'm pleased with the device! My one, albeit minor, complaint is the water pic tubing is not very supple. It functions fine but is a little awkward to get back into the holder after use. Other than that...a very fine product!
