Not built to last

The title of this review says it all - and the attached photos are proof. The flosser has been fine, but the electric toothbrush is a different story. As you can see the finish on the toothbrush is coming off. That is mainly a cosmetic issue, so I can forgive that. But the more serious problem is the fact that the "control" panel on the toothbrush (where the buttons are located) is now separating from the body of the toothbrush. Since water is now all but certain to find it's way inside the toothbrush, I'm sure it won't last much longer. If you are looking for a quality combination flosser/toothbrush that will hold up over time, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to see that you're not happy with the Complete Care. Damage to the plastic housing of the toothbrush is usually caused by toothpastes that contain peroxide and/or the use of abrasive or chemical cleaners. As indicated in the Owners Manual, we do advise against the use of these products. We'd like to get some additional information to see if we can help. Please email us at smreviews@waterpik.com when you get a chance. Thank you!

I love that water pik and toothbrush are in one machine but separate. I use Rx toothpaste so I use water pik then use toothbrush so toothpaste remains on teeth
