I bought my waterpik unit after a checkup at the dentist. I needed to have gum treatments. The hygienist explained the benefit of an electronic toothbrush and a waterpik so I decided to buy the combined unit and very happy I did. My mouth feels so much cleaner than with a regular toothbrush and mouthwash. Hopefully the difference will be seen at my next checkup
