Definitely no time saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This particular appliance came standard with the home I purchased with no additional options. The homes are made to be more energy efficient in almost every aspect, which is great, but I would have much preferred a dishwasher that dries the wash load. There is no heat dry so the dishes are always still soaked after every cycle, leaving me to hand dry everything. I also do not like that the washer will stay wet on the inside for days between each use.

Kdk123, I can tell how frustrated you are with your dishwasher! I have some things for you to try that may help with drying. The “sweet” spot for water temperature is between 120-125 degrees (at the water heater) for the best cleaning and drying potential (page 14 in your Owner’s Manual). Ensure that you run the water in the sink until it is hot (like you do before getting in the shower). Is the heater (inside on the bottom of the dishwasher) covered by a heavy mineral or calcium scale (looks like white spots on the heater)? If it is, start a cycle with no dishes in it. Once it has finished the initial fill, add 1 cup of white vinegar to the bottom and let it finish the cycle. Don’t forget the rinse aid (it really makes a difference) If poor drying, increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed (page 14 in your Owner’s Manual). Leaving the door of the dishwasher ajar after the cycle is done (or overnight, that is what I do), will allow it to dry inside and help keep odors from building up. I hope this helped! Underperforms

My dishwasher is not even 3 months old and I have "exactly" the same issues as "anotherfrusturatedcustomer". Not sure I would recommend this product, not a good value for the performance you get

Disappointed

We had a Kenmore for over 15 yrs that was great. This dishwasher does not load nearly as much, I hate the fact that the prongs are all slanted so its MUCH harder to load anything except a plate. I am washing more of my storage containers that we use a lot of by hand since they come out so wet even in the inside of the container, not just the top. I have NEVER had to dry silverware, but now I do and yes we have the rinse aid filled, but it doesn't help. There's no way I am keeping this dishwasher for 15 yrs!!!!!

Garbage! Won’t dry!!

Came with out brand new house and absolutely hate it!! This thing will not dry and I’ve read reviews all over the internet and Frigidaire will comment on them saying to check the water temp and random other stuff but at the end of the day it won’t dry! Never had an issue with ANY other dishwasher in my life but this is garbage! Don’t take my word for it, read the reviews all over the internet!

Hello! I certainly understand as you mentioned here, your dishes are not drying in your dishwasher. I apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing you. You may want to double check the way you are loading your dishes; avoid nesting items. Water can accumulate when the items are too close together. Cups, glasses, and bowls with a concave (recessed) bottom will collect water. Plastic items may need to be towel dried. This is because plastic does not retain heat, resulting in poor water evaporation from the item. This is common for all dishwashers. When the upper rack is pulled out first residual water left in the spray arm can drip down on the dishes. Pull out the lower rack first. Hope this helps!
