This is my 2nd otterbox for my 3rd ipod. You guessed it. ipod number 2 broke when it fell out of my pocket. Regretted that I had encased it in a sleek case that offered little protection. Had to buy a new device, and this time also bought a sturdy Otterbox to keep it safe.

First, I spoke with an Otterbox rep. She said, "No." BUT, after research...the physical numbers (5th gen/6th gen) are the SAME. So, I took a chance. Guess what! YES!!! It DOES fit the 6th generation. Now that we have THAT out of the way...
This is for my daughter's iPod Touch. The fit is excellent. She loves the color! I'm happy because I know that the money I spent on her Touch is receiving ample protection (this is NOT my first Otterbox. I'm a Firefighter/EMT, and Otterbox protected my phone very well.).
In short...I'm very happy with my purchase!

Drop your ipod all the time and it will never break. Overall satisfied with quality.
Only problem is the screen protector makes an air bubble that has "rainbow" looking colors, not why this happens.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: rainbow air bubble

I love my case for my iphone. I have dropped my phone several times with no damage to my phone. When I bought my twin granddaughters itouch,I also bought them covers. They can be a little hard on their toys.

Great case but some down sides

Love this case! very protective of my ipod but just a few down sides... buttons are difficult to press and the screen saver built into the case is not fully on my screen so i have to touch down hard or it will not press the screen. But other than that love it! Color is great too!!

This item is not a perfect fit for the 7th gen ipod touch. The on/off button is really hard to use. The button sits lower than the older generations. There is a hole on the top beside the on/off button that doesn't match anything on the 7th gen. The plastic that protects the screen doesn't lay flat and rises above the screen. I think they call this doming. There is still not a better product on the market, but Otterbox, you could do better!

Highest quality - AS EXPECTED from Otterbox

This is what a case should be. It's a perfect fit and feels sturdy. I now use my iPod Touch 5th Gen as a camera, a music video player, to go online, to send messages, write memos, for a kitchen timer, world clock, games and apps, and loads of other things, all in one, with guaranteed peace of mind against drops and scratches. The only gripe I have is as expected. The lightning port connector (you use this to charge and transfer files) area needs frequent access so they need to make that rubber area a lot more flexible and a little softer for easy daily removal of the hinge insert. This will wear out over time I am sure. The engineering department should have known about this as it is the fifth generation and they have years of development experience. Other than that, the case is perfect.
